Golden Bee Bookshop — Local services in Town of Salina

I love a local bookstore with a small curated collection and helpful staff - this was our second time in this store the first time was a better experience. This time, I took my two kids to select a book each and we were the only customers in the store. Unfortunately, the two people working were having a personal conversation while unpacking boxes and they hardly acknowledged us as we entered. My daughter wasn't having any luck and I couldn't find anything appropriate for my son. I walked past and looked at the staff/owner (?) several times but there was never a break in their conversation. As we left I said loud enough for them to hear me that I was disappointed in a small independently owned bookstore that doesn't offer help, we may as well go to Barnes and Noble. The man then acknowledged we were there and looked at us wide eyed. We did go to Barnes and Noble and we were offered help several times. I want my daughter to explore new kinds of books instead of the same series she's used to but without knowledge of the store's collection, I was of no help at...

This place is absolutely awsome and at the same time adorable! We met Ms. Kate at Syracuse, NY pride. I immediately bought two books and stickers while we where there.w Before we left New York for home the while family drove to the Golden Bee to look around. Look we did! Bought we did! I placed my original order online and the staff responded quickly to my order via email. Since then they have been very easy to reach and my books arrived before Christmas. I went to the store for the first time today and I was so impressed with the young ladies working there as well as the shop's ambiance and pristine decor, bright white lightls and merchandise d tables filled with books for almost any reader. I' ordered a book for later and picked up a few more books because they were reasonably priced, more reasonable than their competition.
