Sugar Blossom Cake Shop — Restaurant in Town of Salina

Updated 7/24 Not sure what's happened to this place but after the last 3 times I've been here, I don't know that I'll be back for a while. My earlier review was glowing, every treat was worth the price and gorgeously decorated. I'm not sure why the quality or freshness has suffered so badly- everything still looks gorgeous - but there have been issues with items being stale, texture being very grainy and the macarons being too soft and bland. My former review paid respect to those since they are hard to make- I guess this bakery no longer has the macron technique solidly in the bag. The first two times I had this less than stellar experience, I vowed to return- after all, everyone has an off day, maybe the gluten free sign was on the wrong cupcake and that's what the texture was, or maybe they eyeballed the sugar incorrectly in the frosting, maybe the person responsible for changing out the case was new.... Etc etc. But three lackluster experiences over the course of the last 6 months makes it hard to continue to leave a 5 star review up when in my recent experience, it hasn't been worthy of it. My husband and I knew we wanted Sugar Blossom Cake Shop to make our wedding cake the second we tried their delicious treats on one of our walks around the village. Emailing and planning with them was so SO easy! Trying out one of their wedding cake sample boxes was one of the highlights of our wedding planning! It was so hard to pick a flavor, they were all amazing! When our wedding day came I had no worries about the cake delivery, they were so quick and seamless. There’s one thing we, our family, and friends still cannot stop talking about and it’s how incredibly beautiful and delicious our wedding cake was (we ordered the Prosecco Berry)! We are so eternally grateful to the team at Sugar Blossom Cake Shop. We can’t wait to have them make all of our cakes in the future. We cannot recommend them enough, so much love to them!

I recommend this bakery eyes closed. I made an order online for a cake since I live in Florida & was attended by Kaleigh via email. Costumer service & product is A+++. At first she recommended me other bakers since they do not able to create a square cakes, but the shape was the least of it. So moving forward the order was accepted; 2 weeks later I flew into town and went to pick up the order. The employees present that day were amazing and super friendly. The cake was to die for, didn’t even want to cut it because of how beautiful it was; more than expected. Presentation was great and clean but most importantly the taste of the cake was mind blowing.
