Byron's Village Market — Local services in Town of Saratoga

I'm so grateful we have a full line grocery store in town. Until the pandemic, I just kind of took it for granted, but this store is an asset to our community. Byron's had meat, paper products, cleaning supplies and even hand sanitizer when NO ONE ELSE DID. Not only that, but the prices were still reasonable.

I know it doesn't look fancy from the road, and it's old fashioned inside, but this grocery store has EVERYTHING you need. The meat counter is spectacular, whoever the butcher is knows what they're doing. There is all manner of dairy products from local dairies like King and Battenkill. There's a good selection of beverages, especially beer. Fresh produce, baked goods, pet food. They have almost EVERYTHING a big grocery store would have.

The prices are always fair, usually less than Dollar General and always less than Stewarts. There's always good deals in the weekly circular. If you need a light bulb, asprin, paint brush, propane for the grill, or some 3 in 1 oil at 6 pm on a Tuesday... BYRONS HAS IT! The staff knows who you are, and are always friendly. There's never a long line at the register.

Let me tell you something about Byron's Market - they don't make them like this small market anymore. They are a full market with deli and on site butcher. Their meats are some of the best prime choice cuts around, but what I go for time and again, is their deli. The store cooked turkey and ham are incredible and their in store bakery items are head and shoulders above the chain markets. One of the many reasons to love Schuylerville!...
