I brought my daughters iPad to them in February to have the screen replaced because she cracked it & paid 175$. He mentioned with screen replacement the button would have to be messed with too but he could use the one she already had if she still wanted the touch ID. I told him she did not use the Touch ID at all. I did not understand what the button had to do with anything to begin with since the cracks were at the top of the screen nowhere near the button. He told me when I picked it up he was able to use the home button she already had so she could still have Touch ID, after telling him when I dropped it off that she doesnât use it anyway. He said she had to be VERY carful with the button because he put the original back in???? Again, makes no sence. And again, there was nothing wrong with the home button to begin with.
Fast forward a few months later, in May, her home button pushed inside the IPad after just pressing it normally. I did not have the money to fix it at the time but they quoted me â50-60$â to have the button fixed.
I finally saved the money to have the button fixed and brought it in to be done. It was the only thing wrong with the iPad. He then quoted me 75$ at the store for the fix NOT 50-60; and blamed it on having to put a new bracket in. But quoted me less in text for the same thing.
When they called me to pick up the IPad and said it was all fixed. I drove home, sat down to put the iPad in the case and noticed the screen was pushed out on the bottom right of the iPad, the touch screen was not working and the screen had waves inside. (See the photo)
I drove right back to the store, I was not gone 5 minutes. He acted like he wasnât aware of any of the problems and said he would have to replace the screen but would have to order it. I kept mentioning the waves in the screen and that they were not there when I dropped off the iPadâŚ. And he would just say he didnât know what it was but would âsee what he could doâ.
I immediately was googling at home what the waves were and the only thing I was finding was that while he was fixing it he damaged the LCD. TWO weeks later i came to pick up the IPad and the screen was fixed at the bottom, touch screen is working but the waves are still in the screen. The owner conveniently wasnât there when I picked it up and the other guy just kept saying the owner did all he could do and was working on the iPad non stop. I asked if they were going to replace the screen protector I previously bought them them that had nothing wrong with it and he said their was none in stock and had to wait for one, he said he would call me when one came in. I am so disappointed. My daughters iPad is still damaged and it is completely their fault and did not fix it correctly or take accountabity for the waves...
Read moreI 100% recommend these guys! I had 4 places I was choosing from and based on their reviews I chose them. I now understand why their reviews are so great. First off, I was at work so I was expecting to have to drop my phone off quickly and pick it back up the next day, when I got there they took a look at it.. the screen was broken, the back glass was shattered and the whole phone was bent (at one point he asked me if I ran over it with a car.. thatâs how bad it was đ). Based on the condition of the phone he explained to me that if he were to replace the back glass it would just end up cracking soon anyway and that it would be a waste of money. That alone made me more confident in my choice because I feel like other places wouldâve just done it. He told me he wouldnât have an issue replacing the screen so I agreed and instead of having me leave and come back he assured he would be able to get it done quickly, which he did. Then he explained that my home button wasnât responding so he would try to put a factory one in for a little bit extra so I was like why not? Unfortunately the factory one wouldnât work either, so he took it back out and put my old one back in and didnât even charge me any extra for his time or anything. He then explained to me how to use my phone without the home button working which I never even knew you could do! All in all, I was able to get a new screen, screen protector, great customer service AND tip them (well deserved) for LESS than I wouldâve paid for just the screen at CPR in Liverpool. Also the fact that I was able to use maybe an hour more of my lunch break and he got me right in and did all of this for me last minute is amazing. Now my phone looks brand new, (as long as I donât take the case off đ). All I know is I wonât choose anyone else to repair my phone now, and will tell everyone to go there. They also have old school stuff there like cameras, gaming systems, games and so much more. It was cool to look at some of the stuff while I waited. Very friendly people, go...
Read moreBefore I get into my review I will say itâs been about a month since I got my phone fixed, I shouldâve said something sooner. But for the most part I had a good experience, I took my phone (iphone xs max) to replace a shattered screen and after reading reviews I was a little surprised that it was a bit pricey but it could just be because I have a relatively newer phone. I would have no issue with the price if I had not walked out with more issues, but unfortunately I noticed immediately after that I had a circle under my screen right in the middle that had not been there before I got it fixed. Iâm also now having issues with the responsiveness with the touch screen, my flashlight & camera button on the lock screen no longer work and my phone will not turn on at times with me just touching the screen like I used to be able to do. My brightness has also changed, it used to go down a lot farther than it does now, and I now have to reduce the white point if I want my screen dimmer. Most of the reviews on here are promising, so itâs likely that this is just a random mistake. But in all honesty I donât know that Iâd come here again to replace my screen. The guy that did it seemed wonderful, he was pretty fast! But I unfortunately walked out with more issues than I came in with. The only reason I didnât bring it back to fix these issues is because I was scared that I would again walk out with more issues than I...
