Independent Fitness — Local services in Town of Seneca Falls

I read these few reviews and I know these people. I believe the owners of this gym do everything possible to correct A/C issues and or Heat issues and also equipment issues. The contractors they hire to do the work are constantly not showing up, not returning phone calls, saying the parts are being shipped from "wherever" and will be here "sometime soon" etc. The owners have contacted quite a few different contractors with relatively the same results. I am having similar issues with the businesses that I take care of. It is very hard to get a contractor to come out as they (the contractors) are also struggling to keep help. It seems that after covid it is hard for a lot of us to find employees/help. I do have one contractor that works with us and he is great - yet I have him so busy I am afraid to contact him with yet another issue (LOL). Not sure what will turn this around. I am hoping things change quickly yet I don't see that happening any time soon. For instance I have a plumbing issue in one building and the plumber just lost two of his helpers and is currently searching for someone to work with him. Crazy times we are in for sure. Another building I tried to get an electrician to come out and do a small job - nope - called 7 electricians!!!!... everyone too busy or job too small or cannot find help and they have a back log. All I can say is we all need to have patience and have some faith that the owners of these facilities really are trying their best. They need our support. The person that had the gym before seems to have left these issues for the new owners to deal with. Give it some time. ...

Pre covid the gym was fantastic. Great community, atmosphere, everything was clean. With the state it's in its miserable. 99% of the time its hotter and stickier than the air outside, with blatant lies about the a/c being fixed so get people stuck in their membership. Half of the treadmills can't run non-manual programs; one is stuck permanently at a downhill incline. Only one of the bikes functions properly. The equipment was packed in so tight you can't walk around them and touch other people when working out. The people are rude and hog equipment for hours at a time, often not even wiping things down. Most of the equipment has a dark brown film that rubs into your skin. The humidity has been a breeding ground for bugs. All around a very gross and uncomfortable place to be. I wouldn't recommend...

I love that you can go 24/7 there is plenty of machines and dumbbells. There is no un assisted bench press. I feel that has to do with no supervision in the building so you don't hurt yourself. The owners are good people and come in and work out like they are normal people and the take good care of the place. The price is decent, some my think it's on the higher side but you get 24/7 access and all Holliday's. It's worth the price to not be in a crowded gym.
