Burgercade — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

This place is awesome! The food is delicious! I am a vegetarian, so had the black been burger and it's the best I've ever had. The chipotle sauce along with the pickles and potatoe bun was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. My friends got the double cheesburger and hot dog and said they were top notch. And the Bailey's mudslide- OMG!!! Soo yummy and cooling on a hot summer's day! The cooks are friendly and fun, especially the guy Art! The staff was cheerful and the service was fast. I love their shirts! The video games are awesome. I enjoyed playing the old school games like Super Mario and Ms. Pacman! And the pinball machines! The music they were playing was really fun too! I think a juke box might be a good addition 😉 It was cool to hear the bells from the church across the street too! Burgercade is the perfect addition to downtown Riverhead. The perfect takeover in that cool metal building that used to be Riverhead Grill! I'm looking forward to the outside seating being finished, since I love to sit outside! Very friendly staff, greeted when we first walked in super positive vibes. Fast food service and very tasty food. Price of food vs portion size was good. The arcade was very disappointing, quite a few machines with broken buttons. Very oldschool games but none of the classics like pacman or space invaders. Also little variety, quite a few fighting games 2 sports games a janky pinball machine & some knockoff donkykong/pacman stuff and Also some machines were greasy from food. With some more modern machines or some more popular games I could see this being a bigger positive.

Also arcade layout was unoptimized, there was a big golf machine twice as long as other machines and instead of being near the back by the benches where there's more room it was smack in the middle of the narrow bar path. This made walking past people ordering very awkward.

I recently went to Burgercade in Mattituck and was SERIOUSLY disappointed. Most games don't work correctly (joy stick missing or not functioning well or at all) or have a sign that says game is broken. There are maybe 10 arcades in total with 2 pinball machines. The nostalgia of playing old games is ruined by machines that aren't working properly.

The food was also really bad. I ordered a brisket burger and it was the blandest thing I've ever eaten. The burger bun looked like they bought the cheapest one they could find weeks ago in a supermarket. The actual burger didn't look or taste like brisket. I'm not into spicy foods, but this was AWFUL!

My friend ordered the pulled chicken salad and the chicken was NOT pulled....it was chunks. That too tasted awful.

Really disappointed that I traveled over an hour for what I thought would be lots of fun but was a real let down.

Do not waste your time or your money on the food or the games. If I could zero...
