Let me say, Bear Mountain is a huge pool. It does get very full at times however it is dirty. From the time the pool opens til it closes i have never seen them one time take everyone out of the pool to clean it like I've seen in other pools. So that tells me how dirty it is. I like the pool because my kids enjoy it and they have a good time since we live in NYC with only 3 months of summer and they get to have fun in the pool. Which they go many other places but that's not what the review is about. Ha ! So back to bear mountain. Pool needs more cleaning. There is a diving area and also you can do laps as well. There is a section for babies and toddler area. Which is located in the front of the pool however you would like to stay away from that area because of all the dirty pampers that had might of fall apart and fell into the pool YUCK !! There is a charge to get into the pool as well as restrooms and shower area. Restrooms are nasty. I tell you as a woman, there are so many nasty women in this world. I just wonder is that how you teach your daughters how to take care themselves or yourself. Listen, first of all if you have monthly regular YOU SHOULDN'T BE IN THE POOL !!! There is no need for you to come and wear a pad and go in the pool. Your NASTY!! If you got it at the moment than that's different than take your bags and do an about face and go HOME ! DO NOT GO IN THE POOL !!! Also stop leaving you nasty business on the floor. There is a garbage and you can throw it in there. Uuughhh it's disgusting. There is also a BBQ area. Which is nice. There are benches and picnic tables as well. There is a beautiful lake right in front. There are times people leave behind grills so if you don't have one there you go. Do keep in mind your in the woods area so bring BUG SPRAY. There are a lot of flying bugs. So purchase OFF the woods area one. It works perfectly. There is parking and a charge of $10 to get in. If your coming on a Saturday or Sunday COME EARLY !!! Capacity does get full and there is no way to get it. They shut it down. So when i say come early is before 11am. There is also a Bear Mountain Inn. I guess you can make reservations if you wanna stay. I never tried it. I have gone inside and took a tour in the Inn and its pretty and clean. I've seen better š Overall of Bear Mountain is an Aok place for the immediate moment. Again, I've seen and been to better places. Have fun and Have a safe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuch a fantastic pool. We try to come here every year. Just like most people said you need $10 to get in to the Bear mountain State Park parking lot. Unless you have a season pass or a lifetime empire pass. About 10 minute walk to get to the pool from the parking lot. And let me tell you it is a huge pool with diving boards in the deep end and excellent lifeguards that are very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, there are no ways to accept via card. You have to bring cash and it's $5 per person regardless of age. But let me tell you the pool is absolutely gorgeous. It goes from literally ankle depth for little kids and babies to play to 11 ft deep on the other side where you can dive off the two diving boards. Bear mountain is such beautiful nature and to have a gorgeously clean pool like...
