There have been good nurses, unfortunately we never see the same one twice. The office staff very kind but also forever changing.
The issue is no follow though. My Mom called office 8:55 AM that she may still have UTI. She made it clear if they needed more information to call her daughter. I called office at
12:30pm do they need sample or will they call in prescription? Office said all nurses at lunch sounded like they had no clue we where waiting to hear from them. I asked can I pick up kit for urine sample...sure but I cant get sample until test is approved.
1:30pm I called office back, said nurse tried to call my mom 1:16pm (by the way they where suppose to call me.) I was currently with my mom so we went over why she thought she had UTI. Nurse replied she will put in request to the Doctor see if sample needed or if they will call in prescription's.
2:30pm I call because lab sends out samples at 3pm . Office person reply's they will have nurse call me, I explain lab deadline is 3pm and I'm 15 minutes away and I still need to get sample. She understands and finds a nurse. Nurse hears my concerns and says its ok to bring in sample. Reminding me they wont get results until tomorrow. I am thinking and this is why I have been calling all day.
2:50pm I get sample there and they make me sit and wait for lab to come get from me. In the past office staff has taken sample from me. Gal comes out to take sample she no gloves on and tons of attitude. Like I'm inconveniencing her job.
Just one last note.... this office also lost my moms urine sample...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the Endicott walk in on February 5, 2017 around 1030. The wait was not bad, service from Sarah the nurse was great. I was feeling pretty confident with Erica the Nurse Practitioner as well, until there was no follow through. I had flu swab done and told I would here back in a few hours. Erica told me at that time if my swab was negatve she would call in a antibiotic. I let Erica know to use my cell phone # to make the call to me, because I keep it with me. The clinic # came up on my TV at 4 or so, meaning she called my house phone( that phone didn't pick up) no message was left. I called back with Kathy the receptionist telling me nobody called from the walk in. Not true, eventually after calling and speaking with someone other than Kathy I learned that Erica called to let me know at 4 my results had not returned yet. They left it at 8pm on Sunday that I should call for my results on Monday morning. I did as I was instructed and found my swab was negative. I asked if someone was sending a script for my antibiotic, I was then told no. Erica did not include that in her note. I was also told by Kathy on Sunday if I'm getting worse to go to the ER. A receptionist telling a patient that? I thought the reason for clinics is to keep the ER for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm so fed up with the Endicott UHS Walk-In lately. Whenever you go to call them with a question for your doctor, they supposedly leave a message but they never call back. I had an important question as to why my prescription dosage changed without mine or my pharmacist's knowledge. My pharmacist pointed it out that my dosage was increased when I went to pick it up and asked if my doctor told me it would be increased. I told her that no, my doctor didn't say they would increase it so before I take the increased dosage, I wanted to know why it was increased. Like I said, I called the Endicott UHS walk-in to ask about it, had to wait 10 minutes on the phone before I was served and then another 10 minutes of dead air as the receptionist was supposedly typing my inquiry and then was told that the doctor would get back to me, which never happened. This is a serious thing. I don't want to take increased dosage medication without my doctor telling me it okay but yet I need to take it because I can't be without the medication. I swear they don't care about the patients, all they care about it the money. I'm getting so fed up, I'm thinking of going to an entirely different place where there are actually medical people who care. This is just...
