Would give it 0 stars if I could. Found some cool stuff there. Not gonna lie, it was fairly overpriced. My issue fell with the employee. Got to the register, the girl working didnât say hi or anything friendly. Might as well have been talking to a wall. Iâm not saying you have to be overly friendly, but donât act like Iâm wasting your time when you have to do your job. My wife told her she could just use her bag for my stuff. Again, the staff didnât even acknowledge her and just pushed the bag towards her. Then I went to pay, she asked me if I was paying with cash or card. I told her Iâd need to see what the total was first. Rang it up, told her cash. Went to pay with a 100, got told they wouldnât accept a 100. I asked why. She said it was store policy, I understand this isnât her fault or problem. (This is directed at whoever made the policy, if I come to pay with U.S currency, there should be no reason to reject it. I donât care if you need to check if itâs fake, go ahead , but donât just refuse it outright.) Then said Iâd need to put things back because I couldnât break the 100. Employee told me I could pay part card part cash. Had to transfer some money to my checking account for this and the employee tapped her fingers impatiently as I did this. (Itâs not like anyone else was in line, the store was dead.) paid, she took the receipt, threw it into the bag, and gave a frustrated âhave a great day.â Walked out of the store without another word. My wife looked at me and said âwow she was pretty rude.â Glad Iâm not the only one who noticed. Would not recommend this store, wonât be returning. TLDR: Staff was rude, and store policy prevents them from accepting 100 dollar...
Read moreLet me preface this review by saying Iâve only shopped here once and it was for a gift for my friend, so my single experience may not be the norm here, and I dearly hope it isnât.
After the cashier rang up the $3 plushy my friend wanted in clearance. They mentioned to my friend (not the card holder) that there was a rewards card they could get to get a discount. I donât recall how much the discount was, nor do I remember them asking me if I wanted to pay for an additional service. As far as me and my friend knew this card was free. I do however remember seeing a charge in my bank account for 11.99 from something called âFYE VIPâ. Spoke to a person named Maria on the phone after my card was charged 11.99 for a service neither of us asked for. Itâs now a week later and I got my money refunded. Although Maria at the call center made this right, her etiquette does not represent this FYE in particular, or the way the cashier sneakily added a reoccurring charge to my bank account to increase sales. Because of this Iâve given the rating of 2 stars. Maria at the call center- 5 stars.
TLDR; Watch out for fast talkers looking to boost sales. They will try to sign you up for a reoccurring charge for a âFYE VIPâ without telling you it costs extra if you pay with card. Thankfully if you go to their website and call the support line, support can help you get a full refund. To avoid headache Iâd recommend paying in cash if you must go here, otherwise most their merchandise can be found online for much cheaper if you donât...

I was also lied to about the membership card, and when I was charged the month after âsigning upâ it took way too long to convince the person on the phone to just terminate the account. They insisted it made more sense to use the rewards I would accumulate after another month or two (I forget specifics). After being lied into a membership I didnât want, I didnât want to be harassed into paying for it for another 2 months for whatever discount I would get that surely wouldnât be worth the 25$ it would cost.
Go to Spencerâs and hot topic instead, their staff is awesome over there.
Edited for an experience around December; went from 2 stars to 1.
I went back to look around and got 2 small items. I had my boyfriend check out for us while i looked at the calendars next to the register, and the guy cashing him out started going on very quickly about their program I was scammed into previously without explicitly stating it was their monthly charged program, and my boyfriend said yes and they almost continued on before I had to step in and flat out tell my boyfriend what he was signing up for. He has social anxiety as well and wouldnât have spoken up to ask what he was agreeing to. These people need to stop scamming the customers.
Let FYE go bankrupt for all I care. If you need to keep doing this to your customers then itâs...
