I had recently purchased a very nice looking 1941 Walther PPK from the Legacy Collectibles website for a decent price. When I received the PPK a few days later, I found that it was just as described and was initially very happy. After inspecting the outside of the gun for a bit, I took the slide off the receiver and checked the inside surface. PPKs in this time frame typically have the last 3 digits of the receiver serial number hand scribed on the inside surface of the slide. The scribing was very light, but I saw that the last digit was off by just one….it was a four instead of a five. As this was not in the Legacy Collectibles website description, I immediately took a picture and sent it to Tom and Chris at Legacy and asked for their opinion. They were very apologetic and said it was an honest oversight and most likely it was a factory error rather than a true mismatch. Well, needless to say, I am very particular regarding matched guns, so they said I could return it for a refund which I did. Within a day of the gun being returned to Legacy, I received an email from Chris saying that Tom had pulled a very comparable PPK from his own collection….let me repeat….from his own collection…and offered to ship it out to me as a replacement! The pictures he sent were fantastic and of course I said yes! This PPK was matched on the receiver and slide and the serial number was 1000 off from the returned PPK. It was also in better condition than the returned gun! Needless to say, I was a very happy camper, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the PPK and the level of customer service that I had received from Legacy Collectibles. I am always treated with respect and personal care at the highest level at Legacy……and that is hard to find in any online store these days. The quality of the guns are top notch as well, and all of these positive attributes are what keeps me coming back for more. Thanks...
Read moreI recently had two handguns that I had acquired during Operation Iraqi Freedom and decided it was time to sell them. A fellow firearms dealer—who specializes exclusively in World War II-era weapons—recommended I contact Legacy Collectibles, and I’m incredibly glad I did.
Shortly after reaching out, I was contacted by Chris, the company’s manager. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but also very clear in presenting my options: I could either place the firearms on consignment or opt for a direct purchase. I chose the direct buyout, and I was offered a fair and competitive price that reflected both the condition and rarity of the items.
What truly stood out was the efficiency and smoothness of the entire process. From our initial conversation to the final transaction, everything was handled with precision and care. Once I agreed to the sale, the payment was processed immediately—I received the full amount within 24 hours, which exceeded my expectations.
This level of speed and reliability is rare in any industry, and it made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. I felt confident and respected throughout, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything was handled.
All in all, working with Legacy Collectibles was a top-tier experience. Their professionalism, promptness, and transparency make them a company I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to sell historical firearms. I’m extremely satisfied and grateful for how well I...
Read moreFIRST RATE IN ALL! I'd like to give a Special Thank You to CEO of Legacy, Mr. Chris Joiner - (and a "shout out to Tom!)- but also to the OUTSTANDING CREW AT LEGACY- Those I've personally spoken to: Ian, Randy, Alec & Sam- Thank You.
I've had mutually happy & successful dealings with Legacy for over three years now. However, I must say that since Chris Joiner has become the CEO- and I've dealt with him more- this man is ON IT. I don't know how he does it. His correspondence and information is both swift, concise and thoughtful.
A few years ago Tom did a pretty significant YouTube video on a very rare item that Legacy consigned for me. It may have been one of his biggest dives into history and an excellent production... It also allows me the wonderful opportunity to revisit one of my most significant parts of my collection... I can still SEE it. Also- I know that Tom & Crew had a lot of Fun filming it!
The added bonus was that I think it sold within minutes of it's YouTube Posting (see Unopened Luftwaffe/Fallschirmjäger RZ20 Parachute).
When I deal with Legacy- they know me. Know and verify the time and details of the research going into each item. Greatly Appreciated-
Buying-Selling-Consigning. Legacy Collectibles are BY FAR the most honest and balanced business in the militaria field. PERIOD.
And quite frankly, just Good People on top of that. I like them. You will to.
Thank You- and until Next Time- Cheers' and...
