After being out of the country for 5 years, I had to get a SIM card for my already paid for iPhone. I read all the reviews about Goldy and was excited to do business with him. He was very friendly and accommodating. He told me the SIM card was no problem, he helped set up an account and told me there was a current promotion for a free iPad. I didn’t need an iPad but who wouldn’t accept a free iPad? He charged me for the cover, of course and the stylus. I was told my bill each month with unlimited talk, text and data would be around $90. I had lots of trouble at first receiving text messages and was on the phone after I got home with Verizon for hours straightening it all out. I never looked at my bill as I signed up for paperless. I noticed a few months later that my bill had increased $20.00. That was when I noticed that my iPad wasn’t “free” at all but I was paying it off each month along with a phone line that didn’t do anything ( not usable on my iPad). I called Verizon and made a complaint. They strongly suggested I call the owner and let him know that I was upset my free iPad was almost $500 and I was making monthly payments plus paying for a line. I called Goldy and asked him to look at my account and tell me why my “free” iPad wasn’t free at all and to read the notes that Verizon had left for him (they couldn’t “do” anything for me as each store is independent but definitely were not happy he lied to me). Needless to say, Goldy has not called me back. I cancelled my Verizon today. Paid for my “free” iPad in full and will never do business with Paoli Verizon or Verizon again. I need to say before I explain my experience, I called Verizon customer service for assistance about my experience, and they said there is nothing they could do because it’s an “indirect” Verizon store. Basically someone bought the Verizon logo and sells phones and phone supplies. I needed a new phone screen because mine was cracked (simply a new screen). I went to the store asking if I had insurance. The man told me it would be easier and cheaper to replace the phone in store. It took him an hour, I didn’t see him change the screen, but he claimed the new screen did not fit because my battery was swollen (but my old screen fit just with a cracked screen?) he needed to order me a new battery but it wouldn’t come until Tuesday. In the mean time, I was not allowed to use a case or a screen protector, and the screen was hanging off of the side of my phone. Obviously the screen broke the next day. I called him and he said I would have to pay an additional $120. He would not give me a refund and he even lied about his name when I asked for it. I called the insurance company, and it would have been $30 to replace my screen. I ended up having to buy a new phone for $200. So I spent $320 over a cracked screen. Read moreI have a business account with Verizon where we have 20+ lines. I needed a new iPad which I purchased through this Verizon store. Originally would have said they were great but after I got my iPad I needed to go back as it was not activated. When I did the rep took it out of the new case I bought and broke the case. He said he would replace at no charge. 2 weeks later I got the call that the new case was in as they did not have them in stock. I went to pick it up and the guy told me it would cost me $10. I asked why since they broke it. He said was to cover tax. They must have thought I was completely dumb. I asked why they were taxing a product they were replacing for THEM BREAKING IT. He said no, was just to cover the tax he had to pay on the product. Which makes even less sense.the case retails for $40. The buy them at wholesale which is not taxed and usually half if not less then what retails for. He wanted me to pay his cost for an item of mine he broke. Just out principal wasn’t paying it.
