I am a long time customer of Toad Hollow. Yesterday we went in looking for practice suits. After learning that a BOGO 50% off sale would start the following day, today. We asked them to hold our suits to take advantage of the sale. We live roughly 20 minutes from the store but it was worth the time and drive for the sale being offered. Both staff that day assured us that the Jolyn suits we were trying would be included in the sale however when we returned today we were told they do not count and we could only purchase them at full price. The suits can be purchased for less online but we like supporting a small local business and are profusely frustrated by this miscommunication and lack of empathy...

Beware newcomers to this shop: The owner has a temper and threatens to walk in on you while you're trying on swim gear in a dressing room if an employee there does not properly fasten a plastic numbered tag to the outside of your door. She loudly and proudly announced this in the middle of the store. Like that's a customer's fault?! I feel for her staff. When she's called on for her discourteous behavior, she insincerely and sarcastically apologizes. She needs anger management lessons. Lastly, all the gear, even on clearance, is overpriced. We refused to buy anything because of the abysmal customer service....

A relative newcomer to swimming, I dropped by the store looking for goggles. I figured I'd just browse the racks, but after speaking with one of the store attendants I was soon engaged in a one-on-one fitting session. TH has display models you can try on (which already blows Amazon out of the water if you ask me) but the thoughtful and personalized attention I received was on another level entirely. I'm feeling empowered to explore a new sport, and happy to recommend Toad Hollow to swimmers...
