My Nails and Spa — Local services in Troy

I recently found My Nails and Spa salon after not having mani/pedi's for a year! The new owners (Michael and Nikki) are fabulous. They are a husband and wife team who purchased the salon about four years ago, TOTALLY renovated it, it is first class and state-of-the-art. On my first visit, I had my fingernails done with shellac. They looked so beautiful and lasted a full two weeks, so I went back yesterday for nails and pedi. The salon is immaculate, they are two of the nicest, most hardworking and dedicated salon owners I have met. I am a loyal salon visitor, having had my last nail tech for almost 20 years until she retired. Please give them a try, I can't say enough about the entire experience. With respect to Villary's post yesterday about walking in and expecting "walk-in service" I happened to be in the salon when this happened. She was upset that she couldn't get immediate service. Nikki was working on me, and Michael had another appointment coming in 10 minutes so he could not take her. Don’t think I will come back to this place. First time being here. Made an appt yesterday for 2 pedicures. Wanted to take my mom who is deaf/blind. Also specifically asked if we would be able to be done by 2pm because he offered a 11:45am appointment. He said YES. When I walk in there’s only 2 people working. One doing pedicure and the other doing nails. They tell me to pick a color. I did. While I’m waiting I’m looking at the ombré nail colors and he jumps up to tell me to only pick from the wall. I said I already did … then the lady tells me to put my mom at the first seat … there’s NO Water in the tub!!! Once I get mom settled the lady comes back and turns on the water and says put her feet in and asks if it’s ok. It’s just filling up so NO ITS COLD!!!! The guy comes around and throws in some blue rocks while my moms feet are in this cold water. When the lady comes back to get started and get my mom’s feet out of the water HER FEET...

My sister and I loooove Nikki and her husband Michael! The shop is always clean, they are always friendly and professional and we feel pampered every time we go for a service. The ambience is so peaceful and relaxing I fall asleep in those wonderful massage chairs just about every time I go. They live up to the slogan on the wall that says something like " Life is not perfect but your nails can be." Each time I get my nails done it's my new favorite look! I have not experienced such superior quality customer service and satisfaction anywhere else and I have been to many, MANY nail salons in Detroit, Westland, Southfield, Clinton Township and Harrison Township.
