I just relocated to work at the VA in Michigan and only had been there for about 6days. I had the purpose of finding a mall with a Macys and Ann Taylor together. What a plus was added when I saw a Tory Burch. To my defense for the past couple of days Im just getting settled in, and may have not looked my best. Nevertheless it shouldnt have mattered I was going to spend money. I came in Tory Burch with my purchases from the other stores. And my personal elanor purse, and wallet to match. A lady greeted me helped me for a matter of 5 minutes, and then left me to work with a famailar client who she continued calling by name through out the visit. Though I was there first. She then grabbed my purse began to open it as though I was about to steal it and started to look to see what couldve been stuffed in it. I politely said maam thats my purse. She said oh Im sorry and placed it back on the seat where all my belongings were. Then the lady who she began to help after me had a purse I wanted. Well it was semi anual sale and that was the last one. She neither helped me by calling another store, and dismissed my request. I figured by this point its time to go. So I saw a band that could fit on my apple watch how cute with the brown leather and tory symbol to close it. The sales associate discouraged me from getting it because she claim it was to complicated to put on. She began to say it was final sale, however a black associate shared it wasnt. I confronted the associate who told me, and then she said its best to just bring your watch in. Then another white older woman associate asked me had I been helped as though she needed me to hurry up and get out I was there to long. I told her I had been helped. She came with the key pad for me to put my card in to pay for the band for my watch. Then the next thing shocked me out of the whole experience. She grabbed my purse that was beside me and set it to the other side as though I was trying to walk out with a purse that wasnt mine. I politely said maam thats my purse. She looked so cheap and was like oh Im sorry. Then she asked me how long I had it, and how I liked it. The other white customers smiled as though they were embarrased for her. Yikes! Can a black woman buy Tory...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Somerset last night with my mother and a friend. My mother was interested in purchasing a Tory Burch handbag for months and that was the intent last night. I was highly upset in the way we were treated last night . I am not someone to ever use race in any situation, but in this intense,I believe this was the case. My mother, friend and I walked in the store right before 7pm, and we were the only customers in the store. As we walked in we said hello, they didn't even speak, they actually looked us up and down, and one of the sales associates turned her back and they continued on with their conversation. I stood there for a moment in shock, waiting for them to assist us,which never occurred. If I were a caucasian patron, I don't believe I would have been treated in that manner. Everyone who was with me is a career professional, and we were dressed very nice, so what other reason were we treated like that?As we walked out my friend turned back around and said "have a good night", they replied " you too", with a laugh as we exited the store. I will never go into that store again. If you've ever seen the movie "Pretty Woman", that's how we felt walking in and out of Tory Burch at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHE EMPLOYEES ARE THE FACE OF EVERY BUSINESS! Choose your staff wisely,Iāve had an obsession and a love affair for Tory Burch for over 20 years. This location is in Somerset I was very excited and there was a spark that just made my heart happy when I found out there was a store near Bloomfield hills by my house ,I just wish they put a little bit more care into packaging jewelry Mine was tangled up when I got home as much as I love Tory Burch, Iād rather just order online. It seems to be difficult dealing with people these days , I called the manager and told her my necklace was tangled she saidā come back I will take care of youā when I went back to the store, the only thing she did was do a exchange, which was so ridiculous because if you want to build clientele, you should absolutely show them some sort of appreciation or give them a little something to make them happy itās a sales tactic that these people should have been trained especially when selling merchandise thatās overpriced which I donāt mind because like I said, I love Tory Burch I just wonāt be shopping in store. Iāll be doing all my...
