China Town of Somerset — Restaurant in Troy

I was there enjoying a day at the mall with my daughter when we stopped at the food court to get us some lunch. Lines were long at the other restaurants except this location. Food looked good so we decided to wait our turn for our order to be taken. There was a couple of ppl in front of us who were being serviced and we were next. As I'm waiting for her to greet me next in line she motioned for the ppl (YT) behind me to come forward and took their order. I noticed it right away but brushed it off and patiently waited to be next and once again the lady motions for the ppl (YT) behind me to come forward and took their order.

Mind you there was no one behind me when we walked up to this restaurant and only a couple of people was already there as we waited. Again, I noticed and watched the ladies behind the counter thoroughly before I took a stance on what was going on. I'm furious at this point and I definitely let them know they were rude right from jump and to not acknowledge my presence not once but twice was enough for me to let them know how I felt and didn't appreciate them being rude to me and my daughter but I most certainly wasn't spending my money at their establishment either. I walked away.

Before I decided to share my experience of this terrible restaurant from yesterday I read reviews from other patrons who experienced rude behavior and terrible food quality altogether. Now I see why there was no lines like the other restaurants but more importantly these people should HAVE NOT bought food from there at all.

Beware of rude service and bad food quality before making a purchase at this...

My wife and i went there for dinner since we were at the mall. I ordered the honey chicken meal and she ordered the spicey chicken dinner. We shared like we often do so we can both try different foods, both chickens were dry with very little sauce and didnt taste good at all. The honey chicken was mostly little bits of batter. The noodles were not horrible, but were not that great either. We also ordered some crab ragu, they were the best part of the meal. The service wasnt good either, I understand that they try to hurry people along so they can get to the next person. They could have atleast said your order of crab ragu will be up in a minute, instead they said nothing and left me standing there wondering if they forgot about it. I wouldnt eat there again unless I wanted a little snack and I would order...

Went for the noodles over the rice - bad move. Nearly flavorless, slightly fishy as if a can of tuna had been drained into the pot while cooking. They were cold, which I was not expecting... egg roll was also stone cold and inedible - tho that was at least partly my fault for using the liquid salt passed of as soy sauce. General Chicken was lightly batted and crisply fried, with a mild, vaguely orange flavored sauce - I thought this was supposed to be spicy? The egg drop soup wasn't awful, I'd be willing to eat that again. Oh, and if I wanted to pay $.10 for a fortune cookie, I'd go to a grocery store... Overall, the single lamest "Chinese" experience I've had in years... no wonder they're...
