BA Studios — Local services in Tucson

Last night my daughter and I attended the premiere performance of The Nutcracker Returns, produced by BA Studios. A friend of hers was in the performance, and asked if she would attend. The tickets were $25 each, which I initially thought was a bit much for a kid's performance- but in the end, was money well spent. It was held at Flowing Wells High School, which has a wonderful theater set up. And though the parking situation was a touch confusing, we easily found the theater. There was a long concession table, with water & cookies, nutcrackers, and flowers for sale. Finding a seat was simple and the show started with a lovely introduction to the production company, the reasons behind the reimagining of the performance - as well as an explanation that 80% of the dancers had never been in a production before. It was a 2 hour show with a 15 minute intermission. The costumes were very well done, as was the choreography. The smallest in the bunch were of course, adorable - and the older students presented as well rehearsed and serious about their parts. All in all it was an enjoyable evening, and the kids all did a wonderful job. Hopefully we will see more performances from BA Studios...

I can't say enough about how wonderful BA Studios has been for our daughter Kathy. She absolutely loves her ballet and hip hop classes—each session is a highlight of her week. The instructors are incredibly talented and passionate, creating an environment where kids not only learn but truly enjoy dancing.

The recitals are the icing on the cake. They are consistently top-notch, showcasing the hard work and dedication of the students with impressive choreography and flawless execution. Seeing Kathy perform on stage with such confidence and joy is always a proud moment for our family.

Our first dance was absolutely magical, and we have Bri to thank for that. She is an incredible teacher who gave us the confidence to perform with ease. As an amateur ballroom dancer, I was eager for a choreographed dance, but my husband had minimal dance experience. Bri created a stunning routine for us, complete with lifts, dips, turns, and spins. She masterfully broke down the more complex moves, making them accessible for both of us to understand and execute.

Beyond her expertise, what made the experience truly special was the quality time my husband and I spent together during our lessons.
