Miramonte Park — Local services in Tucson

This was nothing but a desert area with cactus, brush and a rough dirt trail running through it back in the 90's. My friends and I played it in all the time and I walked through it every day on my way home from school. I'm not sure how to be fair about this rating. I'm so grateful for a neighborhood park with a little free library. It's very small and rather nicely landscaped. The trouble is it gets trashed very quickly. We went there today to sit at the picnic table and something unsavory was splattered on the corner of the table and ground. There's a great deal of use. Great little park, tucked away in the corner. Bit of shade, water, checker board, and quiet time on one of the cross town bike paths. I stop here quite often to relax and regroup on my daily rides when I'm this way. I'd offer a fifth star to the rating if the hours were not so bad: Closed Dusk til Dawn. Seems a bit extreme to me.
