I do NOT recommend this place. I am very unhappy with the service. I don’t even want to give 1 star. I was told that it would take no more than 2 hours to bathe, groom, glands and trimming claws when scheduling ahead of time. I asked when dropping off my dog when would my dog be ready and was given the response to check back in 2 hours. I checked back in 2 hours only to get a very rude person on the phone saying my dog was in the bath area and that they close at 4:30 pm and will give me a call. Now remember I scheduled ahead of time and told them my schedule on when I could get my dog. They had several time slots but suggested a time for me so that he would be completed and done during that time frame. Well time went by and I started to worry a little so I decided to go by and check on my dog after “4” hrs. I waited another 20 min or so because apparently my dog wasn’t ready. Finally got my dog and notice that my dog had some marks on leg and underbelly was uneven and backside was really looking agitated and red. My dog had been scraped or burned with clippers. I have documented the proof with pictures. My dogs eyes were really red as well and I thought maybe the shampoo. My dog smelled really bad as if they had not bathe my dog but only did a cut and what I would call shave in some areas. I have taken my dog to other groomers and my dog would come out smelling so nice and clean. Also others said that their dog did not have their glands express and I noticed that my dog had been dragging backside on the carpet and has never done that before and has been acting very uncomfortable Long story short, I will NEVER take my dog back to Pet Paradise not just because of my dogs grooming but because of the rudeness of the people there. My dogs have been boarded at pet paradise every summer for the past several years while my family is out of town. The dogs were always clean and healthy and happy. This year, new ownership, totally different experience. My wife left a review and the owner responded. The owner said my dogs, who are house dogs, urinated in their beds every night, and we're peeing in the kennel because of the fireworks. My dogs are 100% accustomed to gunfire and fireworks do not have any effect on my dogs at all. My dogs are left indoors mant hours of the day, and no urination indoors occurs. The owner said they took my dogs out 3 or 4 times a day. Yet the owner says my dogs urinated every night in their kennel. When my wife mentioned that my dogs were covered in filth, crusty fir, stink, very filthy. The owner suggested we schedule a bath prior to pick up of the animals . When I pay you to board and care for my animals, I expect you to do just that. Leaving an animal filthy at all is unacceptable. Horribly disappointed in the care my animals received. I hope anyone planning on boarding their animals reads these reviews prior to choosing. I will never let these people near my animals ever again. My mama took her cocker spaniel to get a trim. They SHAVED him! Completely! She just wanted a small trim where he still had hair, but they shaved him like he was going into the military! A complete buzz cut! He's an inside dog with air conditioning, so he needs some hair to keep him warm. She explained this to them when she dropped him off, for the third time. This is the second time they haven't done what she has asked and the staff was rude and disrespectful to her. Their excuse was that he was knotted all over, which was a lie. He had ONE single knot on his back leg but she keeps him mostly groomed, he just needed some hair trimmed off to keep him from getting too hot when he goes outside.
