I would normally say I LOVED this place - and I did, for the most part. The atmosphere is AWESOME! The gift shop items are unique and I bought a cool journal. And before I say I will admit there was a sign on the counter that said "please be patient with our new staff". So, with that being said, we waited 60 minutes for 3 sandwiches, a coffee, and a tea..... now the girl who was operating the coffee machine was working hard as I could tell, she was quick and focused. The guy making the sandwiches seemed to be doing okay, I think he might have been the only cook on staff. But it just baffled me a little bit that for 3 sandwiches, we waited an hour. I get the Cafe vibe is usually a little more laid back, but the service was just bad, you really can't put it any other way, I'm sorry. There was 1 worker that took our initial order and she was just very, very slow and who is to say what her reasoning was, I can't judge a book by its cover, but just watching her scoop Gelato was painful. She may have been new, understandable, but having worked in many restaurants before, it was mildly agonizing to witness. There were other customers there who were visibly irritated by the wait as well and kept coming to the counter to check on their order status so we weren't the only ones feeling the sting of the wait. We didn't get any drinks beforehand, granted we didn't order any waters but it was just out of order service and it left us honestly irritated. I wanted to love everything I could about this place but at the end of the day as a business person myself, I wanted to grab an apron and hop behind the counter and just get stuff done, people. But all in all, cute place, very clean, cool decor, nice vibe... service- ROUGH. It's like a pretty girl with an...

All she heard was “raspberry.” I was standing by my wife when she placed the order, none of your staff was there. The young lady that took the order wasn’t allowed to speak. My wife WAS in fact asked to pay for the new drink by the older gray haired lady. With a red-face my wife walked all the way back to her seat to get her purse to pay. They did ask her if she wanted the incorrectly made drink. But why would she want a frozen drink when it’s 34° outside? The customer is not right in your establishment AND your employment record is horrible. A revolving door! Your response proved that. Following suit to where the rest of the customer service is in the world right now. Your team did NOT tell you the truth.
Original review: Used to be great! Now....not so much. Ordered a raspberry espresso drink, and they brought out the frozen version. I explained to them that I would have never ordered a frozen drink as it was 34 degrees outside and she said "That's what you said." Refused to correct her mistake and then forced us to pay for the new drink. So much for the "customer is always right." Buyer beware! Order at your own risk. For the record, this is a picture of the drink they made the first dozen times I ordered it. Sad that this once great local gem is...
