Customer Beware!!!!!!
I had a very frustrating experience with Kevin and would caution anyone considering his services. I brought my iPhone 14 Pro Max in for a back screen replacement due to a cracked back glass. The phone was working fine before I dropped it off, with no issues other than the cracked back glass. In fact, my phone had absolutely no problems before the repair because I used it daily without any issues. However, after the repair, I started experiencing multiple problems with the phone over the following weeks and months.
First, there was static in the ear speaker, and although Kevin said he’d replace it, the issue didn’t improve. I could no longer hear calls unless I used speakerphone. Additionally, the phone started rattling when tapped, which seemed to indicate that it wasn’t properly reassembled.
A few weeks later, I received a "battery not recognized" warning, followed by the phone shutting off randomly, sometimes within minutes. I was unable to take calls unless they were on speakerphone. Kevin promised to address the issue, but even after replacing the battery, the problems persisted.
I eventually took the phone to another repair shop, where they found several concerning issues. They discovered an excessive amount of thermal paste inside the phone (which is not meant to be used on phones), screws that weren’t properly replaced, and a bent speaker prong. They also found that the bracket was missing and the cable had been unplugged. On top of that, the phone lacked a seal that should have been there to protect it.
The second shop informed me that the phone was beyond repair due to the damage, though they replaced the battery as a last attempt to help. Even then, the phone continued to overheat. They told me the damage was extensive and unlikely to be fixed.
When I contacted Kevin to discuss these issues, he seemed dismissive and initially denied responsibility. Later, he mentioned he had a friend of his in Murfreesboro, who owns a shop, had worked on the phone and acknowledged that his employee must have done it. He also informed me that same employee had another incident that resulted in him getting fired over improper use of thermal paste that ruined a console. Kevin eventually offered a refund and a refurbished phone, but I didn’t feel this was fair or acceptable. My phone was in perfectly working condition before the repair, other than the cracked back glass, and now I was being offered a refurbished phone that could have more issues.
Kevin’s handling of the issue was disappointing, and then he tried to turn all the problems back on me, claiming that all these issues must have been caused by the broken screen. However, when he first worked on the phone, he told me that the cracked glass had not caused any damage and was completely fixed.
The situation was very frustrating and the lack of accountability made things worse. I would strongly recommend researching other repair options to avoid the same problems I encountered.

Read moreI took my phone to him on Saturday night yes he did meet me after hours on my way to work Monday my screen popped off my phone and my home button stoped working I tried to put the screen back in and I cracked it when I was putting it back in when I called him this morning he told me to bring the phone back to him and he would fix’s the home button and put the screen back in I said what about the screen that I just paid $135.00 to get fixed he said because I cracked it he would not replace the screen so I took the phone to him to get my home button and speaker fixed and he didn’t fix the home button and my screen is cracked so I paid $135.00 to have a still cracked screen and now a dot on my screen so I get into my phone I will never use him again if my home button worked when I went to have my screen fixed in the first place your screen came off and my home button don’t work that should tell you the screen was messed up when you put it on even if you didn’t know it was defected when you put it on you should have replaced it when I brought it back to you today 08/17/21 no part of the way he handled The situation was professional...
Read moreIt has taken me a few weeks to be able to write this review because I lost this man’s card and I was SO upset about it! DO NOT HESITATE TO TAKE YOUR PHONE TO HIM! I took my son to a lake house for his birthday and his friend knocked his phone in the hot tub by accident and you know 15 year old boys.. his phone had water damage and stopped working so I frantically looked for someone to fix it. This man stayed past his normal working hours to fix his phone and he fixed it in about 10 minutes flat! I have never seen anything like it! When I left his phone said s.o.s and would only work on WiFi. He offered to fix it for free for me the next day! Well by the next day the problem had solved itself. But I have never had anyone be so kind and care so much about their work and their customer’s satisfaction! I live an hour and a half away from his shop but I promise you if I ever need help with another device I will drive that hour and a half to bring it to him! I was absolutely blown away.
