So I want to start this out by saying I’m not one for leaving reviews or confrontation, BUT, I wanted to put this out there to warn people of my experience. (If you haven’t had the same experience, I’m happy for you! This is mine though and I don’t wish for these circumstances to happen to anyone else if it can be helped.)

I had a few items that I took to the kids company here in Tullahoma this past Monday. A couple of things I brought in was a mini crib and a baby swing. Upon me taking it in, I was told by the older lady that I would need to leave my crib and baby swing there, so that way the owner could come in and tell me if they will accept it or not right now as well as how much store credit I can get for those two items. I said okay, that’s fine, and left the crib and baby swing there. On Tuesday I get a text telling me that they will accept both my baby swing and mini crib for a $35 store credit. I saw it on Thursday so I responded by saying, I did not want to do that and that I can just come and get them back, but thank you. Friday I get a text from her saying that since she hasn’t heard from me in several days and they have been busy she went ahead and put it down as store credit. I responded by telling her that I am coming to pick it up today and that I did respond to her message.

When I got there, I went inside and told older lady that was upfront I wasn’t sure if it was her that I was texting, or if it was somebody else. I told her I was there to pick up my crib and swing, and that I did send a text back and I had it pulled up on my phone and I showed her where I texted on Thursday responding to what she said. (I made sure that I wasn’t unkind or hateful at all because I don’t believe that’s how situations should be approached.) she said OK well I didn’t get it and proceeded to show me her phone screen as well, and I said Okay well I did send you the text that I didn’t want to do that. She said OK well if you take the crib and swing back, you can’t ever bring anything back in here. I said okay that’s fine. She kind of stomped off and then dragged out my crib, and so I took it outside and put it in my car and then came back and got the swing after she brought it out and put it in the back of my car and left.

I am very disappointed that is how I was treated. It was also never stated to me at any point- (I’ve been going there for 6 years, but have only brought things in for store credit less that 5 times) -that if I simply did not like the amount of store credit that I would get back, that they would just never accept anything else ever again.

I just wanted to put this out there in case anybody decides to take anything in there, that they need to keep an open mind that is apparently their unspoken policy. I would hate for anybody who is struggling or even just as a mother or father who’s trying to get store credit to get more clothes to put on their children’s back that if they’re given a very small amount of credit back to the point where it’s not worth it, that they can just never take anything back again. I can confidently say that I have no interest in bringing them anything else of mine whether they would accept it or not.

(Also, in our text messages, she claimed that I accepted the credit for the swing, but I pointed out to her that I couldn’t have accepted that because I wasn’t even told how much I would get for it in credit yet since I was having to leave it there as well as the crib for a couple of days, since she told me that they would have to wait on the owner’s to say if they could even take it...

This place is a joke. They seem so fake to me. They can sit there and call theirselves “Christians” and play “Christian” music all day long, but when it comes down to it, and really helping someone when they need it, they are fake as they come. Our daughter and her family were in that joke of a store last week and my son in law had a diabetic issue, where he was feeling bad. There were two people at the front where you checkout that works there, NOT ONE asked if there was anything they needed help with or so much even ask our daughter’s husband if he needed a bottle of water or if he needed help out to the car. NOTHING!!! When I told the lady when I called and was so upset and told her nobody did ANYTHING, her response was “ I didn’t think to ask!” Are you serious!?!?!?!! You see someone who is CLEARLY not feeling right and all you do is think to yourself “I didn’t think to ask!” PITIFUL!!! SORRY EXCUSE LADY!!! WAY WRONG ANSWER TO ME!” DO BETTER!!! I WILL NEVER BE BACK IN THIS STORE! EVER!! DO BETTER!!! WAIT I’M SORRY, YOU CAN’T DO THAT!!! SHAME!!!...

Bag sale for spring girls teenage clothing was posted in the window, along with all the other sales going on for that day. It was 3:30 in the afternoon so the sign had been up all day. I asked the lady at the counter about it and she said yes if it was posted in the window the sale was on for that day. So I spent an hour picking out clothes for my bag, get ready to check out and the lady says oops, I'm sorry the owner just text and said no bag sale. We were supposed to have taken that down yesterday. She said she told the owner I had already picked out a bag and she said the sale is over and they would not honor it even though it's posted in the window and I was told before I started shopping the sale was on.
