Buck Atom's is a great local small gift shop which specializes in Tulsa and Oklahoma memorabilia and gifts. Everything from books and throw pillows to coasters and refrigerator magnets.
Decided to drive on Route 66 and see this statue. It’s the brainchild of Mary Beth Babcock who wanted a Muffler Man statue for her curios and souvenir shop. Muffler Men were used to advertise businesses in the early 1960s. This 21 foot statue is cool to look at with a silver spaceship in his hand and a cowboy hat on top of his visor.
There is street parking but some of it is in a residential area. The Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios store was closed by the time we visited which was disappointing as it had quaint and interesting items. We were also told that Mary Beth, who runs it, takes photos for tourists who need a group shot. But a friendly local took our photo so that was nice.
We didn’t realize that there is also a Buck’s Cosmic Crash Pad behind it where there is artwork for sale. It is also reservable through airbnb for you to stay in. That’s...

This 1950's style shop is the perfect place to grab a souvenir when passing through Tulsa or even for locals to purchase for themselves or to be given to friends and family as memorable gifts. I personally loved the Buck Atom plushy. Some things are a bit pricey, however, there are plenty of affordable items in the shop as well.
The 21 foot tall muffler man, Space Cowboy, Buck Atom, provides the perfect photo opportunity and is an absolute must-see! There are also several other smaller statues to take photos with as well.
Overall, Buck Atom's on Route 66 did not disappoint one bit. The lady working was super friendly and kind. There was plenty to look at and to take photos with. It was a great experience and I would recommend anyone to stop in for a visit! Thank you for being an exceptional addition to Route 66 here...

🇺🇸#wednesday saying goodbye to @texasgov and driving through @travelok on the @route66official. Today’s PIC is in @buckatomson66 who is a unique twist on the legacy of “muffler men” that dot the @route66official landscape. In the days before the US Interstate Highway System was built, @route66official was one of the primary roads for taking American travelers across the Southwest. The giant cowboy welcomes visitors to @buckatomson66 a gift shop selling a variety of souvenirs, clothing, neon signs, and other memorabilia dedicated to the mystique of America’s Mother Road. By the way, Totally worth the drive and take a time on the store. We need to support places like this on the @route66official!!!🇺🇸 . . . . . #wednesday #thefabiosilva #youtube #tiktok #instagram #facebook #picoftheday #iphone13promax #travelusa #roadtrip #travelblogger #roadtripusa #travelgram #photography #naturephotography #instatravel #traveling #unitedstates #adventure #exploreusa #route66 #traveladdict #roadtonowhere #livinthedream #buckatomscosmiccurioson66 #tulsa #oklahoma...
