The interior decor is a confusing amalgamation of pop-culture posters that doesn't seem sure what era it seeks to represent with no particular motif in mind. The seating is bare-bone, uninviting steel chairs with what appear to be community silverware in a cup on the table.
Ordering is made simple with few options that are diverse and easy to skim through, but then comes the prices. Three slices of pizza and an order of garlic knots run over $30. The girlfriend and I decided to have water since a 12oz can of soda was $2.25. They even ask for a tip at the conclusion of the ordering process which inspired a chuckle from me as I selected "No Tip".
The food was decent and nothing to write home about. I had The Fungus Among Us which was a strong 6/10 pizza with a 10/10 name. The accompanying Pink Sauce was similar to the growing trend of signature sauces (such as Braum's sauce) which is more tangy than other iterations.
Overall, Empire Slice Shop will have most customers breaking the bank for, at best, mediocre pizza and astronomically...
Read moreAmazing pizza at an excellent cost. Empire proves that top-quality pizza doesn't have to empty your wallet. You will have plenty of funds left over for some Stonecloud collaborative saison the "Cascade Crusher". After you're have had a few, then go back for another great slice of pizza. The staff are always putting out great vibes, and the atmosphere really fits the area and provides a nice dining experience. They feature different slices every day, but you can't go wrong with the classic pepperoni. The whole pizzas are an excellent value as well. Bring Empire and Conquer dinner or be the star guest at the next football watch party. The only thing I would like to see differently is with the spinach dip. The dip itself is great, but the crackers that come with it are basically classic saltines. With such amazing pizza, I would love to see some pizza points or some type of bread just to pair better with the...
Read moreOur recent visit for a date night was rather disappointing. The prices were quite steep, with a single slice of pizza costing $4.25, garlic knots at $8, a can of coke at $2.25, and even a 50 cent charge for ranch. Despite having coupons for two free slices of pizza, our bill still exceeded $21. The quality of the pizza was underwhelming, and we observed some unsanitary practices among the employees, which left us with an overall mediocre experience. (We witnessed one employee putting her hands in her pants before handling a customer's order.) In addition to our disappointing dining experience, the state of the bathrooms left much to be desired as they had an unpleasant odor. Furthermore, the parking situation was far from ideal, with minimal available spaces arranged in a tight difficult to navigate manner. Given these issues, it's unlikely that we will choose to dine at this establishment again...
