The young ladies that help me were very attentive to my every word and helped me find everything I was looking for and then some, I came looking for a dress shirt and a String tie I guess you'd call it, the Colonel Sanders looking tie...well they were saying they were out but one of the young ladies pulled a rabbit out of the hat & I had my tie. I explained that I was going to a funeral and that I loved the look of Cowboy Boots but my feet & legs swell so that I can't wear them anymore. I joked that if they made a Cowboy boot that had spandex in them for when my feet swell, I didn't have to cut them off, which almost happened with my last pair of boots! Well, this young ladies pulled a rabbit out of her hat too!!!! I am now the proud owner of a pair of TwistedX that come just above the ankle with spandex at the ankles. They look like a nice pair of boots with the toes sticking out from under the cuff of my pant legs...I decided that now I needed a hat to pull rabbits out of too...now I hate the fact that it had to be a funeral to get me in there!!! I've shopped there many times before but just for this or that, Like I really was today/yesterday now. I have a really nice pair of suspenders I got there a couple of years back...not a cheap Walmart fall apart, good heavy duty leather and spring loaded metal "C" clamp styled hook that attaches at the belt loops. I always recommend Cavenders when someone asks where I got suspenders. And today not long after leaving, my brother-in-law noticed my "boots" and commented he used to wear boots, loved boots but "just can't wear them anymore" I pulled up my pant leg he and my sis seemed pretty excited when he asked "where did you get those" I smiled and said "Cavenders at 31st & Memorial, same place I get my suspenders, and if you haven't ever tried it, I didn't see any today, but I know the used to carry Cavenders Greek Seasoning too, there is nowhere else or nothing else...
Read moreHate to write a bad review for a store that I normally love. My mom bought a wallet and I got a purse on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. We questioned the total and was told that the 15% off signs was only for Black Friday. We were fine with that. When my mom got home she looked at the price tag on the wallet and it was $44 but her receipt showed that it scanned at $54. I called and spoke to “Tiff” the manager and explained our situation and that we were from Adair. I asked if there’s a way to settle it without having to come to the store and she told me to have my mother call her with the invoice number and she should be able to return it to her card. With me she was honestly really helpful. She was not when my mom called her. When my mother called she was very rude to her. Stated that she was told the transaction was done the same day my mom was calling, not Wednesday, and then proceeded to give my mom multiple excuses about why she didn’t think she could make the return to the card. When I called her I told her it was Wednesday. She never asked for a receipt number and was interrupting her conversation with my mom to help other customers. She asked my mom to verify her name, as she had found that the transaction and stated “the most I can give you back is $10.85” and then asked if the tag REALLY said $44. She acted like we were trying to con her. My problem was her being so polite to me but acted like my mom was the pain in the a**. If it was an issue to take care of without being at the store I wish she would of said so. It would of sucked to drive all that way for $10 but I would of understood the reasoning, but the attitude...
Read moreStopped into the Tulsa store around 5:45 on Saturday Aug 14th to buys jeans and boots. The young men helping me where helpful and my shopping experience was wonderful. When my wife and I were waiting to check out in a long line the young woman was doing her job to the best of her ability, carefully folding and bagging the large order the gentleman had purchased. There was a return during this time so she called another older lady up to assist with the return. She did so but instead of assisting with the folding and bagging she stood there with a sour look towards the young cashier. The poor young cashier had missed a theft tag. Now keep in mind the cashier was the only one and had customers waiting. The older lady snapped at her and told her to run after the customers that had walked out. Then stood there with a nasty look on her face staring at the customers and the young cashier. I sat my jeans and boots on the counter and walked out. If I'd had stayed I'd have not been kind to that older lady. I was enraged by her actions and as a stepfather I have zero tolerance for that type of behavior towards young lady's learning and willing to work. After this encounter I fully understand why the younger generation isn't...
