It was different! You put a quarter in the little slot to get a grocery cart to start(you can get it back when you leave or be a good neighbor and give your cart outside to someone else goodwill jesture. A little bit of kindness goes a long way sometimes).
Next, it was easy to get around in the store. I went to the produce and they had a good selection (the price for strawberries were 1.99 compared to others for 2.89 and up for the regular size , but some things like meat was pricey just like Walmart or kroger). The thing is that to an extent the meat looked a lot better 🤔 and they were just as empty in the meat department as walmart. Secondly, they has like little nick nacks, summer gear like walmart . Aldi remind me of Sam's club, but without the crowd. You can zoom around as you please without the overcrowdedness. The cashiers and employees were a truly hands-on and helpful. This was a joy; no grumbling when asked a question or location for something thus far. You bag your own with a bag you bring or buy there for the environment. Nice.
The point is Walmart, kroger and other chains are still good , but you do come out in some things a little cheaper at aldi's to a certain extent, but isn't that the way of shopping ( trying to find bargains in an over priced world for food or clothing 🤔)
It is worth checking out 🤩😍🥰 I would give them a B+😋🥰 Saturday was...
Read moreI have been shopping at Aldi stores in Germany and the US for many years. As is the case in Germany, Aldi promotes and supports a recycling and environmentally conscious community, hence no plastic bags. I keep sturdy bags in the car, and I love the savings I get. In addition, most us are physically capable of bagging our own stuff, so why shouldn't we? And for those who are complaining about the 25 cent buggy...... you must have failed 3rd grade math, if you cannot figure out that when you take your buggy back to the hub and re-insert the chain and get 25 cents back --- that your buggy was free! It's a simple way to keep people from leaving their buggy in the parking lot - or worse, from letting it roll into cars. This is how grocery shopping works in many European countries. The only reason I give this store a 4 and not a 5, is because it is FREEZING COLD!!! Does not invite you to linger and shop, I hurry through to get out FAST. I also wish you would carry wines, but I realize that this is an issue of old outdated...
Read moreIncredible prices and selection of produce (organic at Aldi is less expensive than non-organic at other stores), breads, cheeses and dairy. The meat section is somewhat lacking, but the fish selection rarely disappoints. Paper products are competitively priced. Don't expect multiple options for each item type. You get one option, but that option is always good (with the exception of their knock off Doritos...don't buy those). Fun aisles with items you didn't know you needed are mixed in, as well as seasonal and limited supply stock. It's fun to shop there, especially when you get to the checkout and you realize you spent about 30% less than you would have elsewhere. Clean store and restrooms. Wear a jacket even in summer. They like it cold in there. Grab empty boxes as you go or bring your own bags unless you want to buy paper bags at the checkout. You bag your own, and the checkers go FAST. Be getting that...
