We arrived at about 9:30pm with two kids who were exhausted from driving all day. We got a good price but we overpaid. First problem was that the door didn't work correctly. It took us about 10 tries to get it to open. Second, immediately upon entering the room the smoke detector beeped. Upon inspection it had no battery in it and kept on beeping. Third, we tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. We had to call with our cell phone. After waiting for a long time, my husband walked down to the front desk to get a battery. He was not able to get one and was told to wait for the maintenance man to come. Fourth, while waiting for the maintenance man, we found out that the toilet does not flush. We called with our cell phone to the front desk about this issue also. Fifth, for some unknown reason the alarm clock was hidden under the bathroom sink...we didn't even try to plug it in to see if it worked. My kids managed to fall asleep otherwise we would have left. We stayed here so we could get some much needed sleep while traveling. We waited up for the maintenance man for 45 minutes (we had been told he would be 10-15 minutes) before my husband walked down to the front desk again to see if someone was coming or if we could get a different room. At 10:40 we were moved to the room next door which smelled of smoke, even though it was a non smoking room, but it was quiet and everything seemed to work. Again, the only reason we didn't just leave was to let our kids sleep as much as possible, and because we were increasingly sleep deprived ourselves and needed to sleep. Sixth, we were not given a key to our new room so we had to load our car before breakfast...not a huge deal except the bathroom in the lobby was out of order so we didn't have access to a bathroom. Seventh, there was already someone new in our old room by the time we woke up and I am almost positive they didn't have someone change the sheets in the middle of the night. Lastly, breakfast was ok except the literally Frozen sausage sandwich. The staff was nice but the hotel was not up to par in...
Read moreI was actually an employee at this horrid place . First there were multiple ROACHES not only in room drawers & in room but also in the kitchen area where breakfast was served . The bathroom in lobby was never clean it was piss in toilets for days . Instead of using The hotel air freshener that is provided by the choice hotel it was actually FABLOUSO PURPLE being sprayed as an air freshener on Liniens & in your room . also if you get a smoking room You will be assigned the dingiest towels and dingiest sheets with burns& holes in them bc you are a “smoker” . Cleaning towels were also mixed with Regular towels you groom & bathe with . Also if they run out of the orange juice they would go to Sams Club & use the same OJ DISPENSER that’s supposed to be disposed & apply SUNNY D . Yes I know it seems absurd but this is actually goin on . Not to mention if you look under sinks or behind TVs you would see openly Rat 🐀TRAPS which should not be there . I would never recommend anyone staying there . The breakfast is bought from sams club nothing is ordered from company as it should be . The coffee machine hasn’t been cleaned in months . Your frozen sausage patties you love so much is also from sams club in a two pack if they do not EAT all of the breakfast food that day no worries it will surely be left over for tomorrow no disposing of nothing & many people have played & touch over the food but yet they still decide to put it out the next day to “ save money “ even the pancake batter which have water liquid substance in it once it is refrigerated. They accept 20.00 pet fees but not once have they assigned certain rooms from pets so basically if a person with a dog 🐕 has slept there before you you are basically sleeping with the dog bc the room is cleaned as if it is regular which it’s not supposed to be . It’s supposed to be stripped everything especially for fleas & ticks . They don’t even change the top cover so everybody is sleeping on the same cover this place is a rip off & VERY DISGUSTING & I have pictures to prove everything I’ve said will...

After listening to them for 10 minutes about that we lied we asked to cancel the reservation. While waiting for the son To cancel it, the police showed up. 3 of Tupelo’s finest!!! Apparently this hotel doesn’t like to be shown they made a mistake and that customers won’t tolerate hotels that treat people terribly. || So just before midnight we had to take our kids back out of the hotel room, which they said smelled like cigarettes, and had to look for another hotel. ||La Quinta inn is a couple miles up the road and is pet friendly, and they don’t charge for pets. || Stay away from this sub-par hotel. This is another example of hotel owners that think they can do whatever they want to make money off people. Extremely rude employees and the owner Dee Patel (the son) that...
