I really like to support local businesses. I am disappointed in the price gouging. $2.99 for a Nut Goodie? Super one sells them for $1.00. Many other candies and products that can be purchased on Amazon for much cheaper. I wanted to purchase one of the lemon macaron meltaway’s and another truffle. The one girl that finally helped me, argued with me that the price of the lemon macron meltaways were $.50 more expensive than the rest. The deal was buy two for $5.99. All the other truffles were buy two for $5.49. That is very confusing to the customers and not necessary. My arms were full with Items to purchase. You lost $100 worth of sale over $.50. I understand that as a business which is very tourist driven, you need to mark up your product in order to make a profit. But your prices are ridiculous! And once the tourist season is over, you need to be able to rely on local business. With the economy taking a nose dive, you may want to rethink your pricing, And it would be helpful to have more than two people at the counter during the busiest days of the week. There was only two girls at the register, and no one to assist customers waiting for selection and boxing of product. It made for very long waits and people walking out without purchasing. I have a lot of friends and family who always ask me where are the best places to go on the North Shore. I cannot recommend your business at this point. The attitude of many businesses nowadays is screw the customers! If you don’t like it, don’t shop here. However, customers pay your bills. The reason you have a business is for customers. And unlike the early days of Tourism on the North Shore, we now have social media. Reviews are important! I hope you take your review seriously. You have a really neat store with fun things going on. I would like to see it flourish and be around a lot longer than some other businesses that have had to close this past few years. I do not need a response or an excuse as to why your prices are so high and why there was not a manager handling the customers that the very busy girls at the registers were unable to attend to. I just want you to think about what I...
Read moreMy family and I are frequent visitors to Two Harbors, so we were very excited to see a new business pop up this time! Burlington Station is an extremely charming little store. The decor smacks you with a sense of awe when you first walk in -- a model train cir Les above you, and there are beautiful murals on the walls. Very cool window displays as well. When we arrived, they had a few areas that had some great discount/sale options, so that's where most of our money went! We had a great time shopping. They have a great selection -- clothes, kitchen items, children's items, and decor. There are a few souvenirs as well. The right side of the shop has a fudge counter. We ended up getting 5 - 1/4 pound blocks (they had a sale for buy a pound, get 1/4 pound free). We got a variety for my 9-person family to share : traditional fudge, cookies and creme, peanut butter Oreo, snicker doodle, and key lime. They were all great! Honestly, the key lime and traditional fudge seemed to be the hit of the weekend. Overall, a great experience at Burlington Station. While some items are pricey, there is definitely something here to fit everyone's budget. It looks like they're doing remodeling, and their fudge counter looks like it will have some things added to it (maybe a soda fountain?), so I'm looking forward to stopping by the next time we visit the north shore to see what improvements...
