Hadn’t had my hair cut in over 2 years. Chose this place because of the reviews. I chose a seasoned stylist because I am super picky about my hair and wanted to get it cut before my vacation but have it look nice. Booked with Holley Mullins who I’m pretty sure is the owner. Walked in to my appointment at 4:30 only to be told that my appointment is now with the girl behind the desk, Maicee. She was very sweet and did a pretty good job, although I could tell she was inexperienced. I later saw the email that came in at 4:30 letting me know my appointment was changed to another stylist. Not only is this unprofessional, but very inconsiderate to change stylists on a client last minute. Had I not been going on vacation the next day, I would have left and booked elsewhere. Maicee was great and very kind. But I will never be back to this salon, having this be my first experience there.
In response to the owner response below, a phone call or text message would have been the professional and considerate thing to do. I understand things happen. But an email sent after I have already walked in for my appointment is very unprofessional and inconsiderate to your client. Also, an apology for switching my appointment last minute would also have been nice. I walked in with very damaged, box dyed red hair and she did a full highlight and cut and style on me, and what she was able to reach with my hair was nothing short of amazing. It turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I also want to add that not only did she end up taking me in the same day I called, even though they close at 6, she stayed there with me until 9:30 at night to get my hair absolutely PERFECT. She never rushed, she never made me feel like she was in a hurry or trying to get me out the door. She was so thorough and worked absolute magic. I have never in my life been as happy with my hair as I was last night leaving the salon. She made me feel absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I also have to add how personable she is, I left feeling like I found a new best friend and like we had known each other for years. I’ve never clicked with a stylist before like I did her, and I immediately booked my next appt for 4 weeks from now. I’ll never let anyone else touch my hair besides her. I wish I could give her a million stars, I truly cannot brag enough on her and her talent. Read moreI made an appointment on Saturday with Kennedy for partial highlights. She did a good job the last time she did my highlights, so I asked for the same look again. I even showed her a picture of JLo’s hair color and specifically told her I didn’t want any brassiness or red tones. She said she understood. I have some experience doing hair myself, and during the process, it didn’t seem like she allowed my hair to lighten enough to take the proper toner. It seemed like she was in a hurry. Sure enough, it turned out brassy with red undertones. I mentioned that it seemed like the lightening process went too quickly, based on my own experience, but she assured me it would lighten up over time. When I saw my hair at home in better light, I wasn’t happy with the result. First thing Monday morning, I texted her to let her know. She suggested waiting a week to see if it would lighten up more. I wasn’t satisfied with that, but I agreed. A couple of days later, I texted again to ask if she could fix it, and she scheduled me for Saturday. When I arrived, she told me it would cost $130—more than the original appointment.
