TL:DR: Charged for everything (even if they cause it) and the Owner is rude, impatient, and unhelpful. If there was an option for zero stars, I would choose exactly that.

I took my computer in to have a new AIO cooler installed around January and it was taken by Charlie. For a case not meant to take a cooler the size of what I had, it was turned around in a decent-ish time (24 hours), but that's where everything went wrong.

Upon him handing my computer back, it failed to boot three times. Turns out, he had updated my computer and filled my main drive to the brim. He took it back for yet another day and turned it around with my secondary drive acting as my first.

Upon getting it home and getting everything set up, I noticed that my fans were spinning 2-3 times their normal speed, and my computer randomly shutting off (which I assume to be overheating.) I called Charlie and told him both my issues to which he responded "I would just get a fan control software" before just hanging up on me without actually bothering to address my concerns or even answer one of my questions.

I later found out that he had installed the fans backwards, pulling hot air from OVER my GPU through the cooler, alongside setting the current setting for my fans in BIOS to Direct.

And for all this? $165 for this "completed" job. $75 for the poorly installed cooler, $75 for the drive issue he caused, and $15 + some odd cents in tax

My experience at The Clone Shop was terrible. Less than two weeks after picking up my laptop, it has the same issues as before. The staff was rude and dismissive, often interrupting or acting impatient, especially over the phone. They said it would take a day to fix my laptop and I would receive a call when it was ready; I never received a call and had to be the one to call them and request if they could run specific programs to check the issues my computer was having, to which they responded, “Uh, I guess.” It took them a full week, and the first thing I saw on my laptop was a REDDIT search on how to fix the overheating in the processor; that was beyond absurd. When I left my laptop there, I explained what was going on and what I wanted it done—a clean-up, reinstalling Windows, checking for hardware problems and software problems—and they disregarded it almost completely, giving me back the computer after a cleanup and a Reddit search on how to fix the problem that appeared again in less than two weeks after. I do not write reviews unless I am impressed and Not only was I VERY Impressed but this place pretty much saved me. My computer broke down and I do e-commerce online so my computer is pretty much my life line. I first went to another place but they said it could be 3-5 days which would be devastating. I then came to the clone shop and right away he told me to bring it in and took a look. After about 3 hours or so he was able to get my computer up and running. Had to reset/refresh the C drive and even backed everything up for me which was awesome because I have photos of my son and I which I would have lost. The cost was really great, fair and worth every penny! If you have any problems with your computer I highly recommend this place!
