John M. Olin Library — Local services in University City

Three little floors for 8K undergraduates. No wonder I cannot find reliable studying seating here. I am forced to balance my expensive computer, food on my lap because apparently this rich hoarding university does not know how to provide ample studying. I have seen people here carry a Macbook, an espresso, and a backpack while perched on a little bench because there is nowhere to sit.

I studied a LOT in this library when I was a student here. While the institution itself is excellent, and serves the university well, how this modernist slab got built on Cope & Stewardson's gorgeous Neo-gothic campus is a mystery to me.
