I work at Washington University, so I'm partial to the theatre, but it doesnt have a bad seat in the house, parking is pretty efficient. Sound quality is quite good. Its not ornate, but most modern theatres aren't. The stage is angled and able to be modified for different needs. The management is effecient. There is a subway sandwhich shop within steps if you need refreshment. Restrooms are not convenient (located down stairs from theatre entrance), but there is an elevator if needed. Read moreEdison Theatre at Washington University was an very intimate and excellent venue. The performance of "Canfield Lane" (Jan 9th to Jan 27th) was very powerful and thought provoking. Director Ron Himes, founder of the Black Repertory Theatre in 1976, really brought a tremendous product to the stage. "Canfield Lane" is a must see along with "Milk Like Sugar"(Feb 13th to Mar 3rd) and "Nina Simone: Four Women" (May 15th to Jun 6th) to close out the season. The seats were comfortable and the view of the stage was wonderful, production and lighting was wonderful. The play or ballet itself was incredible. I was thoroughly impressed with the way the dancers moved so skillfully and artfully through the scenes. The tickets were an incredible value for the money and show was phenomenal.
