Needlepoint This — Local services in University Park

Honestly this place isn’t the best place to go. They don’t care about you personally as a customer and will rob you blind. Plus the women working there were very rude and short to my mother. My mom needlepoints Christmas stockings for all her grandkids..my mom went in there to have her stocking canvas painted for a monogram...they didn’t even do it on time and were really ugly to my mom and tried to charge her $40 for it!! My mom took her canvas back and went to another needlepoint shop where she was able to get the monogrammed painted for only $23. The people working there are Dallas SNOBS and are RUDE and treated my mom with such disrespect simply because she wasn’t a regular customer and was from out of town. Don’t waste your time here honestly. They’re so rude and I was so angry at how mean they were to my mom. I seriously had the time of my life shopping here!! I will preface by saying I’m a beginner needle pointer, but regardless, I really feel like I had a great experience. The store was actually packed with other newbie needlepointers as I could hear from convos with employees and customers and I was really impressed by the service they were giving. After I picked out my canvases I needed help with choosing my threads and getting stretcher bars setup for one of my projects and Gail (Gayle? Not sure on spelling) got me all set up!!! She was seriously the sweetest and I appreciated her taking the time to help me out and show me how to put the canvas on the stretchers.

I left so excited!!! I will definitely be back to this...

I stopped by for some embroidery floss today because I haven't been able to find what I want in the big box stores or online. I was greeted as soon as I entered the store. While I wasn't able to find what I'm looking for (I think it may just be a fantasy item I'll NEVER find) everyone in the store tried to help, with suggestions on alternate options, other places to look, even some on their handheld devices pulling up places online!
