Never take your dog here. This is the most unprofessional grooming experience I have ever had. It started with the petco grooming manager, Darrel not taking my rabies vaccination that was brought. I was contacted after 40 minutes by the groomer needing information. When I called back Darrel told me no one called me and everything was fine. Except it wasn’t. The groomer called back and asked me what I wanted my dog’s haircut to be, which I had already expressed in writing in the contract. Then I was called my the manager asking about my dog’s rabies information. I complied, asked if I needed to stop in, gave him the information, and asked if he wanted me to email it over. He said “no, you can show it to me at pickup.” Well, apparently all hell broke loose at the petco because the next I knew the groomer was calling me THREE hours after I dropped my dog off. The call was to tell me that the two managers at the petco were corrupt and asking me to be honest with him about what Darrel had told me and what specifically I had said to him about my dog. He also mentioned how they were trying to get him fired. That should have been my first clue to just pick my innocent dog up. My entire experience was highly unprofessional. According to the groomer, the manager (Darrel) had lied to him about seeing the rabies paperwork and said I had gotten the vaccine at a place that I had not. I sent him my vaccine records by text. I was told that they would then start. Two hours later I text the groomer asking for an update. They still had her kenneled. He sent me a video as I was highly concerned. An hour later at 3 P.M. (I dropped her off at 9 A.M), the manager called me to let me know I needed to come get my dog and they would not be grooming her today. OH.. but I did get a “free grooming.”
No thanks. I don’t trust them with a single hair on her head after...
Read moreI had an appointment here for my deaf dog for a bath and a flea dip. (I mentioned the fact that he was deaf in multiple places when booking the appointment, and once we dropped off my dog, we also mentioned he was deaf once again.) With these treatments what was included was ear cleaning, nail trim, anal gland expressing, deep cleansing shampoo, 15 minute brush out, blow drying, scented spritz, Flea shampoo, Moisturizing conditioner, Teeth-brushing, Paw balm, Nail buffing, but basically all of this, if not actually everything, was not done. So to begin, most, if not all of the services were not done. Then, when we arrived to pick him up at the time they told us to come back, there was no staff in sight. We had to find a Petco employee to tell us that all the grooming staff was in a meeting, and when one of the groomers came out, he said he had to check if my dog was ready. Why was my dog alone if he was not yet ready. Then this groomer comes back out and says my dog just needs to be dried. Why was my dog left cold, wet and ALONE. Finally, this groomer is checking us out, and he asks if my dog is deaf, not only was the fact that he was deaf in multiple spots of the appointment notes, but he was told when he first obtained by dog as well. The deafness was noted as one of his diseases as well, so definitely do not take your dog here if he has a condition more dangerous than deafness because they do not even look at those notes. Incredibly unprofessional and unsafe environment. Do not take your furry babies...
Read moreI needed a grooming appointment prior to my child’s birthday party. The soonest availability was the morning of her birthday. I decided to go ahead with this booking as it was the soonest available and would be prior to the party. This was booked over the phone since the app was not up to date for grooming appointments. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told that in the computer her appointment was for the next day (the day after my child’s birthday). The manager, Benny, did not apologize for any mistake that was made nor did he try to squeeze in an appointment at the facility or contact any other facility to help facilitate a booking. He said to look online to make a booking. However, the online service for grooming appointments at PetCo.com is currently not making bookings. I asked him if I could speak to his supervisor, who he said would not be in until Sunday. I asked if I could leave my name and number for her to contact me. He refused to take my personal contact info.
He also said that I got an email confirmation that said the date of the appointment. In reviewing my email, there was no email confirmation sent, which I presume is due to the appointment being booked over the phone.
When I asked Benny why I did not receive an email, he proceeded to tell me to leave the property and would not answer...
