Great selection and amazing staff. David in floral was great to work with and was very accommodating. He really went out of his way to make sure we had the arrangements and orchids my sister and I wanted for our Mother's funeral service later in the week. As others have noted they are maybe a bit high when compared with say a Kroger or Tom Thumb, but these guys are pros. They have top quality healthy plants (the importance of this can not be overstated!) and an amazing selection and options. And you have not SEEN expensive until you start trying to purchase flowers/live plants through the the florists from the funeral home. A 2 spike live orchid arrangement through them was $500. I got a beautiful arrangement and exactly what I wanted from these guys for $80 in a great pot of my choice! Literally 1/6th of the cost and I got to pick exactly what I wanted down to the accent elements of the arrangement. I also now have a very healthy plant I can keep for years as a reminder VS. flowers I would have to toss after just a few hours/days. Also I could not resist and had to buy some other unique and more specialty orchids and pots as well. The staff helped us with packing options and they all made it safe back to Colorado without blasting or losing blooms. These guys will treat you right! Stop by if you are ever in the area. I know I am glad we did!

Beautiful plants! Was my very first time here and I can’t believe I’d never been here. The first lady I encountered was very rude and kept staring at me before finally asking if she could help me with something. I was literally just trying to take everything in. Went to the outside section and encountered an employee who very much cared about his job and had exceptional top notch customer service! Talked to me about how he got into plants and showed me the many varieties of basil they had. When I went back inside the lady who was now working in the orchids again was staring at me and aggressively asked if she could help me with anything. She almost seemed annoyed that I was there just looking at plants. At this point I was just going to check out so when I asked her about that, she told me “other side please”. I eventually just walked over and found where to check out by myself. Wish she hadn’t been so rude and that my only experience had been with the employee outside.

Every visit to Nicholson-Hardie Home and Garden Shop is a delightful experience for Deana and me, especially for my furry friend, Shadow. The moment we step into the store, Shadow's excitement is palpable. He eagerly explores every nook and cranny, sniffing the shelves with keen interest and curiously checking out all the unique gifts and beautiful flowers. The ambiance and the variety of products are commendable, but the doggie treats make our visits extra special. Shadow can't get enough of them! The staff's warm and welcoming attitude towards pets makes it a favorite spot for both of us. Shadow highly recommends it to all plant home decor enthusiasts and their four-legged companions!

A couple of weeks ago I came in for the first time with my friend and we loved the place. We're plant obsessed and we go to different places around DFW, this one is by far the prettiest. So organized and the selection is absolutely amazing. We even drove to the second location immediately after and there I bought plants and became a member for the point reward system. Then last weekend I was driving by with my mom and out of a whim I told her we should stop by quickly so she could see it, because it is beautiful! It was 4:30 and they were closing in 30 minutes so it was just a look-around. I told her, "you're going to LOVE their setup!" And sure enough she did! She even picked up two plants. However the older cashiers up front were cold and rude. I instantly regretted bringing my mom in. If you close at 5 then you close at 5. We did not stay past 5. We did not make a mess. We did not hold anybody back from doing their job (closing the store). The younger girl and the gentlemen were kind, the one outside greeted us. Another one helped us take the plants to the car. But I don't know that any of this is enough to make me go back. When you don't treat people kindly it makes an impact. When the woman was checking me out she couldn't even make eye...
