This whole vibe was unprofessional and tacky the minute you walk in. I took my son here and the short bearded guy was mad rude. He ain’t want to do my son hair cause of the beautiful texture. First of all as a professional barber you should know how to do different texture hair. Secondly you should ever make anyone feel unwanted at your establishment especially when they are willing to pay you. Thirdly the gossip amongst the barbers and lack of acknowledgment was definitely giving feminine. I wanted to leave so bad but my son literally begged me to take him there cause it was black owned. I was embarrassed to even let them proceed with my son hair after all the theatrics. Fast forward almost 1 hr 1/2 later when my son finally was getting his cut by the other barber I showed him exactly how my son wanted his hair and he rushed the hair cut as he was complaining about how hungry he was. I told him several times how I wanted the fade in the back and sides and he only faded the sides and pretended to fade the back. When he was done I looked at him in confusion because I was like you didn’t fade the back but I was to drained from waiting to even bother so I thanked him and left. He left the side of my son hair all ashy and didn’t clean the hair off his neck or shirt. Never coming back.
Horrible everything. Go somewhere else. I hope this review helps save the next person from wasting their time and money and this ratchet...
Read moreWhen this shop first opened up I loved it here, I used to bring my stepson here all the time and never had an issue…fast forward I have my son (1 year old) wanted to get his first hair cut so obviously I went where I had a good experience. I walk in the salon and no one acknowledged me, a man walked in behind me and the white barber asked him if he had an appointment or was a walk in I was still standing there. It took another barber maybe 2-3 mins to acknowledge me (this should have been my first clue to leave) I explained what I wanted and was told to have a seat 45 mins and 4 walk-in’s behind me later I was still sitting and waiting. The only time we were acknowledged after taking a seat was the white barber telling me to keep my son away from the speaker, that my son didn’t even touch and then the female janitor telling me to keep the kids and their snacks on one side, mind you my daughters had their snacks wrapped up in their hands and were sitting down. I ended up getting up to leave and that’s when they wanted to act like they were attentive and ready for us. Definitely not the place they once were when they opened up and it’s a shame. For the prices they charge you would think it would come with some manners...
Read moreThis was my first visit . I wanted a cut, conditioning treatment and a Pixie hairstyle. I was searching the wall for cosmetology licenses posted but they weren't posted. The owner hired her so i took for granted that she had one. She finally arrived at the shop. She asked me what i wanted to get done and i told her. She asked for a picture and i provided one from YouTube. It was going to be a Pixie style. I had to sit on the barber side for the buzz cut to the back of my head. More waiting. My head was washed, deep conditioned. Back at her station, i thought that she was gonna cut my hair while wet but she applied mousse to mold it and placed me under the dryer. i though she was gonna cut while dry.
After my hair was dry we went back to her station where i thought she was gonna cut my hair. She asked if i wanted it cut and i said yes. i heard scissors but she wasn't cutting my hair so i said to myself "forget it". i'll get it cut someplace else. She was afraid to cut or didn't know how to cut, one or the other. This experience was my fault. I've never seen anyone sitting on the salon side and i didn't check for reviews. i paid 95.00 for this lesson. I'll NEVER go back...
