soo... this will be a rant but for whatever reason this office was listed as PCP despite never seeing anyone there, unsure why but when i tried scheduling an appointment with a different office they informed me i already had a this office listed as PCP and needed to remove/ or see them. i figured i would try. I made it clear i was having issues with panic & mental health and needed to see a doctor ASAP to either be treated or just be referred to someone who can help after trying all day to contact mental health specialists and striking out i assumed a GP could at least get me set up with someone but... no? I also made it clear I needed to see a doctor just in general because I don't currently have a regular doctor. My PCP before I moved was able to prescribe anti depressants to treat my anxiety so I don't understand why no one in this office is able to or even able to offer referrals but ok. however this isn't even why i am upset...
For some reason the receptionist felt it was necessary to say they dont rx OPIATES OR STIMULANTS but said she would get back to me after going over "my chart" with the doctor. I'm sorry... what ? what chart and what doctor? NO ONE asked for opiates or stimulants. I've never called them before. I guess since i was a little emotional she assumed i was looking for OPIATES bc i said i needed help w. mental issues i am struggling with. Is that even something opiates are prescribed for in 2021? are stimulants prescribed to treat panicked people with high blood pressure? I didn't say i was in any physical distress sooo....?
anyway they called me back to say "no we cant help you the doctor said to call the number on the back of your insurance card" so they can give me a non specific non updated list of 250 psychiatrists in the area and let me call every one of them i guess. I was kind of shocked they called me back pretty quickly just to say "nah lady" i was like i cannot even schedule an appointment???? i said i needed a GP" and the lady was like ummm i guess you can. so i did thinking they would say it would be in like 2024 but it was in a couple weeks.......

I was denied getting my hormones checked for a blood test, meanwhile a friend of mine who went here to the same doctor was allowed it simply because he was more persistent based on me sharing my experience with him.
Later, when at my Quest lab appointment I asked the technician if I would be able to have my hormones checked anyway. She told me to call my doctors office to get the approval sent.
I called this office with some difficulty in getting anything faxed over, and after 3-4 phone calls with the fax finally sent they didn't include the one thing I asked to be included to allow this test to be conducted.
I called back politely one more time, and was greeted by the most aggravated and unconcerned person I've ever dealt with in a healthcare setting! The woman working at this office I spoke with on the phone patronized me, minimized what I was asking for and specifically kept saying "I'm NOT going to bother a nurse for JUST SOME blood test". When I tried to politely explain further and let her know I don't appreciate my issue being referred to as "JUST a blood test" she got fed up, yelled over me, and hung up. Thanks King of Prussia Medicine :D It feels WICKED to rely on doctors and people like this for your health screenings and well being. Maybe if I was an old person they could make sure I died really fast in a cool way by not screening for cancer or something...
Read moreI'm baffled by these negative reviews. I have never had a better experience with a PCP than I do here at KOP Medicine, and that includes the entire staff (not just Dr. Cognetti). I recommend using the patient portal for lightning-fast communication. My every question gets answered; referrals and prescriptions are filled seamlessly; they've even gone above & beyond to accommodate my travel and work schedules. Seriously cannot say enough...
