I've been to Escape Room Mystery three times now, and have had a great experience each time. I always go with the same group of four, and we’ve done The Egyptian Tomb, Area 51, and most recently, The Billionaire’s Den. I'll give a little review of each one below.
The Egyptian Tomb (08/2023): This was our first escape room ever, and it set the bar high. The setup was incredible — super immersive with clever, thematic puzzles. If I remember correctly, we escaped with just seconds to spare and used two clues (one absolutely necessary and one due to a silly oversight on our part). I don’t remember our game master’s name, but they were great.
Area 51 (04/2025): Another great room. It has a fun story, an immersive atmosphere, and some truly challenging puzzles. There’s a laser puzzle in this one that we’d never seen before, and it’s probably one of our favorites puzzles out of all three rooms. We finished with about 15 minutes left and only needed one clue. Once again, our game master was excellent, but I don't remember their name :(
The Billionaire’s Den (10/2025): The ambiance of this room wasn’t quite as immersive as the other two, but the puzzles absolutely made up for it. They were challenging in all the right ways — especially the Monopoly one — and super satisfying to solve. We finished with about 10 minutes to spare, but didn’t use any clues. Hamlet, our game master, was awesome!
Overall, we love this place. The staff is friendly, the rooms are high-quality, and it’s become a little tradition for us to do a room here whenever we’re in King of Prussia together....
Read moreIts entire memory is filled with a mantra repeated… 5,061 times - and then a termination verse. It was worn as an amulet, probably together with many identical others forming a pattern on some garment.
The repeating mantra is important because it symbolizes the cyclical nature of life and death, and the termination verse is a symbol for ascension above and beyond it. I don’t know how familiar you are with the cycle of life and death, but I imagine like all living creatures, you have some intuitive knowledge?
Then you know that death isn’t the end - birth and death are connected to each other like a ring, or some say a spiral. Some say a spiral that in turn forms a ring. Some ramble in agonizing longevity. But the basis is agreed upon: like sleep like death, you wake up again - whether you want to or not.
This is true for all living things, but some actually break the cycle. That doesn’t apply to you or me though, you are too entangled in your animal struggles, and for me not breaking that cycle is an integral part of the design.
Our mantras...
Read moreMy wife and I had a fantastic time at Escape Room Mystery! The puzzles were engaging and challenging, keeping us working together the entire time. The room itself (Area 51) was well-designed and immersive.
What truly elevated our experience was our game master, Elisha. They had a wonderful personality that made the whole thing even more enjoyable. Elisha steered us in the right direction when we got stuck without giving away the solutions.
Thanks to Escape Room Mystery and especially Elisha for a great escape room date! We'll definitely be back to try another room together - however - one bit of negative feedback, unlike many of the other escape rooms in the area, Mystery does not offer a discount on a future visit if you purchase that future visit before leaving. Really wish they implemented this as it certainly would have enticed us to return sooner than...
