If I could give no Stars, that’s what they will get. It was my daughter‘s birthday. We arrived to the restaurant we were a party of 4 with a baby. When entering we seen the host by the name of “Azailya Smith”. She let us know it would be a 15-20min wait. We sat down and waited. She screamed at me for my name and number to receive a message for when the table was ready. Afterwards a party of 2,3, and 4 came in and they were all seated. My daughter (whose 16th birthday it was) asked what was going on. Another host by the name of”Alvin” asked if we have been taken care of. We responded yes, and my daughter asked how much longer. The first host was not there during the beginning of the conversation, but she did approach us in the middle of the conversation rudely. Unfortunately I did and still do feel like I have been discriminated against myself and my family. We were the only Hispanics that were not sat. She was incredibly rude and made us feel discouraged for being there. If it wasn’t because my daughter wanted to go there for her birthday so badly we would’ve left. Our server however was excellent. Her name was Damaris. Even though she was nice our food still was delayed and we felt uncomfortable with the host looking at us. I just wanted to make my daughter happy and she even felt uncomfortable. So we called for a manager and all they did was bring over a dessert. She said she would take care of us.. I don’t know how a dessert would’ve made up for this encounter. Overall customer service was terrible. Seeing the host and the manager speaking about us in the front is extremely unprofessional and left us with a bad taste in our mouth. We have been to other locations and never experienced anything like this. Manager must be trained way better and as well as a host. I’ve managed restaurants for 5+ years and never seen people that hate their jobs as well as their customers. Must not matter to the people who make salary. Our server should’ve been the manager. She tried so hard voy make it better. After this restaurant for so many years was our favorite it became the worst. My fiancée and I was just there the night before but in the Cherry Hill, three staff should be training this store. To finish I cried all my way home, I felt so embarrassed with my daughter and my family because it was my idea to bring them there. I really need people to know that this location is horrible and no one should be treated this way. I even told the manager that why that host was working there if she didn’t like Hispanic, this restaurant play Spanish music and the food is really similar to our food, but the bad experience made everything taste so horrible and to make it worst we had to pay for food we really didn’t not ate. Read moreI am a person to share when I have a positive experience and negative one. Unfortunately, last night’s experience was terrible. My family and I went to Bahama Breeze for their late night happy hour at 10pm. We were greeted and sat by a very nice host who was conversational and informed us of who our waitress would be. However, after that interaction it took literally 20 min for her to come over and take our orders even for drinks. We almost got up and walked out, but we would be hard pressed to find another late night restaurant opened. There was a table behind us who was seated 5 min before she came over and she took their orders first even though we were seated and waited the longest. We ordered our food and cocktails at the same time because by that point we knew what we wanted to eat and drink. Our drinks never came until our food arrived later to find out it was because another waiter took our drinks to a different table. We flagged down our waitress because at this point it was 30 min in the restaurant and we didn’t even have as much as water to drink and the table behind us received their cocktails. We asked for water. 6 mins later our food came and only my son and my drink came out and a couple of min later my husband’s drink. We begin eating and was asked if we needed anything else which we replied, the water that we never received. Water was brought over. She thanked us for our patience and as she placed the three glasses on the table, she knocked the glass over and it spills all over the table my husband’s clothes are soaked, cell phone, and sons pants. She nervously laughed through the situation and said she’s so clumsy and then finally apologized as she’s cleaning everything up. Thankfully it was just water, but that was fuel to the fire. The saving grace was that our food came out hot and it was delicious. Finally the bill comes and it’s the total price of everything we ordered despite the terrible service and spilled water. I asked for the bill to be comped to which she looked at me and questioned why and apologized for the drinks coming out late. I had to run through the list we experienced and asked to see the manager. She said she would take the bill back to her Gm and talk to him about it. She returned and only the drinks were taken off, likely because she never told that she also spilled the glass of water and the other issues. The manager never came out to apologize (which it’s extremely rare we have issues at a restaurant but if we do, the manager comes out and makes it right). I paid the bill because it was too late and I was too tired to fight it further. But I won’t be returning again. Read moreIt was good until it wasn't. The waitress gave us great service, until we were ready to pay and leave. Once we were finished eating, it took 10 minutes to get 2 to go boxes and another 20 minutes or so before I could pay. The kiosk would not accept my card for some reason and when she finally came over, it accepted my card as if magic.. not sure what she did to make it work. Then as I was paying, she said there was something she had to do after I paid and I can only assume that's fill out the survey that the kiosk asks customers to fill out. I didn't fill out the survey as she took the kiosk and I can only assume maxed the ratings.. the food was great, except the main course smelled too fishy and I was right. The appetizers were great, but by the time I was almost home my stomach was turning. I was in pain and uncomfortable for about an hour or two before I started vomiting. No sooner than I brushed my teeth and started to eat fruit so I can feel better, the vomiting began all over again. DON'T GET THE FISH. I can only assume it was under cooked, sat out too long or was no good to begin with. When we first arrived at the restaurant and ordered our drinks.. one cup was clean, the other had residue.. we asked for another cup, this one also had residue so we shared our cup. When the food arrived to our table, the silverware in both our napkins was clean, but one had a red hair in it.. you couldn't miss it.. then when we asked for another wrap of silverware, we waited long enough that we just started sharing silverware because we wanted to eat while the food was hot. Basically, the food was good until it wasnt.. and the service was also good until it wasn't.. I would've given 2 stars, but then I started getting sick and now I wish I could take stars for a review. Please prove that you care about your customers as I will NOT be going back.
P.S. since the waitress hovered and stood over us as I paid, my friend felt that we should leave a larger tip when in actuality I shouldn't have spent more than $5. Considering how sick I ended up, throwing out the left offers and the lack of service by the end of the night.. I wish I had saved my $95 for literally anything else.
Update It's 5am and I've been violently throwing up all night on and off.. my body is cold then hot and I'm sweating. The fan is too cold but without it I'm burning up. Can someone tell me what they did to the food in the back? Because there's no way they cooked it thoroughly. My throat burns from throwing up so much and my body is so sore. I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow, but this lack of sleep is definitely going to throw off what I did have planned.. it seems the food was basically poison because I feel horrible...
