I will never deal with this company again. I have owned a lot of furniture over many years as we like to update our decor regularly and own two homes. This was my first time buying furniture from Mc Laughlin’s. We bought a complete set of living room furniture and a custom made kitchen set. The prices were much higher than I have paid in the past from other stores but I was convinced by the sales representative that I was paying for quality. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our sofa is only 2 years old and gets light usage. The cushion in the backrest completely collapsed. It is an obvious manufacturer’s defect. We paid for an extended warranty but neither Mc Laughlin’s nor Bassett would even send someone to look at it. They asked us to send photos vie email; based on those photos they denied any responsibility and even accused us of having a pet sit on the top of the sofa to cause the damage. We don’t own pets and don’t have any pets that visit us. We don’t have young children and our furniture is used infrequently. We did not damage the sofa; it is very clearly a manufacturer’s defect. I am appalled that neither company would come to see the failed product. I will never...

Lesson learned: Do your own research, don't buy anything on your first visit without double checking the details on the exact product and better yet, go somewhere else with a more...
Read moreMisleading ad for a huge sale and floor sample clearance. We went there after seeing a 6-page ad on this huge sale going on. There was basically no sale at the store. They show a MSRP price and their everyday "sale" price on each piece of furniture. That was their sale they advertised. For floor samples, we were there a few days after it started and they had an odd and end spread around the store. Nothing worth driving there for and...
