Nails Design — Local services in Vallejo

THE WORST nails experience of my life! I'm a fan of nail art. I was looking for a new nail salon, my go to girl is in San Jose and I now live in the north bay area so driving over 45 minutes for nails isn't feasible. I was looking at reviews and pics, came across Nails Design with great nail art pics. Wow! BEWARE! THEY AREN'T THEIR PHOTOS. Avoid this nail tech like the plague (pic included) of MiMi. Mimi, continually insulted me 4 times by saying my feet are too big. She kept saying that I had ingrown toe nails on both big toes. No. I do not. Some background. I'm 5'8", my feet are size 10, I'm 206lbs. so I'm a hefty size. My daughter has size 10 feet. She was not insulted. My daughters aunt has size 11 who was getting her feet done as well directly next to me, she was not insulted about her foot size. I was told that I know nothing because she has been doing nails for 30 years. I do not have ingrown nails! She continues to argue with me testing my toes for pain. There is none! Then she goes on to say my nails curve in opposite directions because I'm old. Mimi said "when you're old in 1 or 2 years your nails grow in to the corner." I'm 35yo!!!!!! I showed her a picture of a flower drawn on a toe nail. She said no, she can not do it. I was confused? Their advertised pictures are far more complex and this nail salon that specifically advertises "nail designs", but no one there could do a drawn flower? Really? I showed MiMi their own pics, not telling her they were their pics. I asked. What about this? Can you do this? Who did these nail pics? She said they can't do it. I then said, these are your advertised pics for this business. But no one here can do it? Then MiMi got really quiet. THEIR PICTURES ARE FAKE! The pedocure itself was "ok" at best just going off cutting and cleaning my nails. Mediocre job. This was my first experience with them and I am NEVER going back. Too bad, I was really searching for a good nail art nail salon. I go weekly. I will keep searching. PLEASE, go anywhere...

I've been here a few times between my last review and now but took a break for a while. When i came back today i brought two friends. We all had negative experiences.

We had appointments and still had to wait. They forgot one of my friends wanted a pedicure so she ran out of time for one. None of our artists could accomplish the looks we wanted. We all had to compromise and that still took a lot longer than it should have.

Very disappointing considering how great i used to think they were. When you have your good artist don't stray in faith the others are at a similar level.

-----------------+ This was my second visit and I brought my mom this time I set an appointment ahead of time for the two of us. Immediately had artists for both our Mani and pedi which was nice

I didn't catch my artist name this time but she did the blue marbled nails with the gold accents She did a phenomenal job with the shape

We got the pedicure this time and that was okay I'm not sure why but my mom's took an extremely long time (My pedicure was already done and I was already seated getting my hands done) and she said that her massage was barely even a rub which is disappointing because that's something we really like about our other salon

I went to my normal salon and the design artist was not there so I found this one I'm glad I did

This is my first visit and my nails were done by Little (black and nude nails) I showed her an inspo picture and she for sure executed

I look forward to coming back here and getting a pedicure as well. The chairs looked pretty nice and all the stuff...

AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE ! I went here for a pedicure , I’ve gone a few times before, Anyway I went here to get a pedicure and this older women sat me down and she started working my feet I had my feet in the water for a total of one minute before she started working on them and she started being kind of rough when she was going in between my toes so then I told her like oh be gentle don’t do that and she continuously kept spreading my toes to the point where I got a cut underneath one of my toes, she then proceeds to tell me it’s because I don’t dry my feet correctly after I shower , girl what ? And that I had an infection , which I DID NOT , I then told her if I had and infection I would have not gone to a place where I can potentially cause more damage. and she kept pouring stuff on them and I told her not to to just wash everything off and she’s like I’m almost done just the polish , okay I agreed my mistake, then she proceeded to spray my feet with alcohol , which I know they have to , but she shouldn’t have after I asked to not put any other stuff on it. When I was gonna go pay the same woman and I guy at the Front gave me attitude after I mention a discount for returning costumers , THAT THEY OFFERED VIA EMAIL ! gave her my card and she flicked it back to me with an attitude ! i really liked this place but I don’t think...
