Exceptional customer service! I am consistently amazed at how much the staff will go above and beyond to make sure that the customer's needs are met. Just about everyone there is so friendly, cheerful, patient, and kind. Debbie is a superstar who is incredibly helpful, upbeat, and knowledgable, and puts a smile on my face every time I interact with her. Honestly, she could teach customer service training seminars--she is that good. Likewise, Caitlin in the Paint Department is also a rock star and has exhibited such extraordinary patience with me in helping me navigate even the most peculiar, kooky painting projects that I dream up, and helped me with color selection when I was feeling indecisive. Bonnie in paint has also been super helpful in answering many of my very specific paint questions. I special ordered all my paint from Ace when I painted my house exterior and they were amazing throughout the research and purchase process. Ace was already awesome before Covid, but since the pandemic started and I've needed to be extra cautious about limiting my in-person interactions due to an autoimmune disorder, they have been absolutely amazing--answering all my questions over the phone and going out of their way to offer me curbside pickup and a streamlined process of socially distanced shopping. Vashon Ace is about as close as I can to that wonderful experience of great product assortment, corners full of hidden treasures to prowl through, and the best of knowedgeable advice and excellent customer service. They also have a good collection of lightbulbs and are usually able to supply harder to find bulbs for lamps and vehicles. They do have a rewards card and they will send you coupons in the mail.
