We decided to check out Cafe Luna on our recent visit to Vashon Island. This was one of the few places open on a Monday so make sure to keep the days in mind when visiting Vashon Island. Half the town is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Due to this, Cafe Luna seemed busy but we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes before we were able to order.
They have a selection of the basics you'd expect from a coffee cafe (latte, mocha, espresso, etc). They also had a few smoothie options and a selection of pre-packages gluten free cookies.
The location is just off the Main Street near the Thriftway grocery store. We ordered a Mocha and a Latte and a Vegan cookie. The mocha was good. Not too late strong with a more subtle chocolate flavor. The latte needed some additional cream to help it taste more like a latte but overall it was what I would expect from a local coffee shop.

Read moreLuna Cafe is an authentic staple of Vashon. Their grilled sandwiches are delicious and served with kettle style chips and a crisp dill pickle. They are big enough to split with a friend, so you can save room for one of the sweet treats that are so obviously made with love and quality ingredients.
My daughter and I could spend a good part of the day relaxing, reading, sipping on our favorite drink and chopping down on some of our favorite foods at Luna Cafe.
As far as prices go I think it's fair and keep in mind everything is more expensive on an island including the gas. The items Luna Cafe offers are quality. I would happily pay for what Luna Cafe...
