I called in takeout. They told me that it would be ready at 6:40. I was there right on the dot. The hostess was busy helping the patrons in front of me, went around to a few tables and after about 6 minutes came back to me. I told her that I had placed an order for takeout. She left for the kitchen and came back saying that there was no such order. I assured her that there was and explained to her what I had ordered. She went back to the kitchen again and was finally able to piece together what I had ordered. Then she informed me that they hadn't started it yet, and rudely said "do you want to pay for it or leave." I felt it should have been something more along the lines of "I'm so sorry that this happened, we will be right on it." So, I had to stand in the tiny entry way while people were maneuvering in and out. It was awkward and uncomfortable. There was a party of two girls that came in and were there for a while without being greeted and finally left. The hostess was not attending to the people coming in. It was not that busy in the restaurant. I was very disappointed with the fact that my food had not even been started, having to wait 25 minutes, and watch other people leave due to lack of service. Put a poor taste in my mouth. Incompetent hostess. On top of all of this, the menu prices are different from what I was charged on my...
Read moreWe spent a weekend on Vashon Island and my hubby searched for restaurants on the island and May popped up. Read the reviews and look at the pics we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately they were closed for dine in . Take out only. So we decided to order take out and eat as we were on the ferry back to Fauntleroy. I didn’t eat or open all the boxes of food but when I came home. At night I decided to open the box of pork satay and it was raw inside!!!! That was bad. Other than that the kids seemed to like most of the food other than the Yum Nuea my daughter ordered that and she said it wasn’t good at all. And we are from Thailand. So we pretty much know Thai food. The PadThai was super expensive $18 add shrimps for an additional $7.😅 Making that Pad Thai street food a total of $25..... phewwwww. Most expensive pad Thai I ever had LoL . But they gave us large shrimps and not over cooked so that was good. Service was good. So I took off one star for the satay that was raw and one star off for the foods that were easy cook street food but super pricey. But if we go back to Vashon Island we will definitely be back. And try them out again.😊 Looking forward if when they are open...
Read moreGreat venue on a quaint island. Excellent friendly staff.
I recommend reservations or come when they open, or you’ll be waiting.
Bar staff is attentive and prompt.
Phad Thai is serviced at your table, which was a unique experience. The noodles were tucked under a banana leaf, hot to order. Then, blended with fresh bean sprouts, baby banana leaves, fresh hand torn green onions and dry mix. The service at the table made the dish taste that much fresher with just the right amount of cook time for the bean sprouts and green onions. The flavor was on point, great subtle hint of fish sauce and not too over powering like other Thai restaurants. A must order dish.
Pad Prik Khing was bursting with salty and savory taste. Green beans were a tad bit over-cooked, but the flavor made It worthwhile.
I highly recommend this place when...
