LAST RESORT - Staff complains about people coming in before closing. Makes shoppers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Store closes at 10 PM. I checked out at 9:25. Staff still grumbled about people coming in “every night right before close.”

Seems to be a disagreement between workers and whomever runs the store at a district level because even the manager is grumbly too and wants to close at 9.

Move closing to 9 or find different staff, but blaming folks for coming to a store that doesn’t close for another hour to half hour is misplaced.

It’s unfair to lead customers to believe you’re open until 10 but quietly bully them out when you’re ready to go home. Yes, I’m sorry y’all work late, but somebody trying to shop for food probably had to work early too.

This is so bad that in the past few years, I’ve lived pretty close to this store, but almost always go to a store further away that’s more expensive just because they’re not rude near closing. This is not an isolated incident. This has been the status quo for the 3 years I’ve lived near by.

Indirectly, staff attitudes are almost certainly lowing average transaction values toward the end of the day as customers aren’t given an environment to browse and shop. I never spend over $100 here but regularly do so at other...

Rude! Decided to go to in to grab a quick item, it was close to closing time and there were five employees just standing at the front doing nothing but one young lady decides to loudly say, "Why yall wanna come here right before we close"... I looked at her but kept going to grab my item, went to check out & lucky me, lil miss blondie attitude is my cashier, she doesnt say a word, rings me up and I pay... she then grabs the receipt and throws it at me! I didnt pick it up & walked towards the door, told the young man bringing in carts that some people feel the need to be rude instead of doing their job! He agreed... I'll take my money to Food Lion for now on!!! Cheaper...

Hate it, sorry for using that expression, but the produce is never fresh, and last time we were there we had bought some frozen Blackberry cobbler,,, after a few days we pull from fridge, and of course I felt some sticky on container,,, it was apparent that it defrosted, and they refroze upside down,, it was all in the box...just nasty! My personal opinion if they would do that,,,they would do anything to make a sale they had no respect for how sick that could make someone,, they also didn't apologize for our inconvenience! I really miss Harvey's, much better, and much less $$. We will go out of our way to shop now! No time for...
