I have been driving through Vidalia for 20 years, stopping only to gas up or use the restroom. Last night, on a return trip home, we decided to see what was to eat in Vidalia. This place is a total surprise. Located on Jackson Street in downtown Vidalia (really), you are drawn in by the red Campari umbrellas and the neon sign. Red brick inside and out with stained concrete and red checked tablecloths, this place just feels pleasantly out of place. The menu is a no-miss affair, the food is deserving of the term "crafted", giving the impression in taste and quality that it was made just for me. I had Fradiavola and it was steaming hot, and overflowing a large bowl with clams, mussels and amazing shrimp. There were additional bites of clam throughout the pasta and broth. THE BEST DISH OF THIS TYPE I HAVE EVER HAD. The dinner salad was an ideal size, wonderfully dressed and the perfect start. You will eat more than one load of the bread. Most importantly, the service is among the most friendly, attentive, and unpretentious as any we have experienced. Put this place on your list!!!

I WILL HAVE TO SAY BEST PLACE I HAVE EATEN AT IN A LONG TIME!!!! I was extremely impressed by this location.. I was very skeptical about it, but after my first bite of appetizers... "Meatballs." I didn't think at that point it could get better, and I was wrong! I had the trio plate and started with the chicken parm and went to the lasagna both wonderful but when that magical mixture of Alfredo sauce hit my taste buds let me tell you " If it was on my forehead my tongue would slap my brains out trying to get too it !!!!!!!!! AND I WAS ALREADY CLOSE TO FULL BUT I HAD TO FINISH MY Fettuccine Alfredo every bite šŸ˜‹ I was so full I was miserable " a good thing " even got a order of it to go. I WILL BE BACK to try the rest of the menu... staff was excellent as well šŸ‘ I would give my waitress a shout-out but can't remember her name.... I will next time... photos of Shrimp scampi, trio sampler, crab cake, trio meatballs, and bloody Mary and got more lots of leftovers šŸ˜‹

Drove from Hazlehurst where my friends live at last minute- because they said this place was great. Mind you, I didn’t expect a place in Vidalia to be as good as this. I was proven wrong. I’ve traveled all over and have eaten Italian food in NY where my girlfriend is from - with all Italian family. This place is great. Had appetizers and tried everything that was brought to the table. I ordered the eggplant parm. All together was a great experience. Atmosphere is nice. You can tell whoever is in the kitchen can cook and knows Italian food! I would gladly drive from Savannah, where I live- to come eat there again! (Also, I don’t write reviews often but I felt this place deserved one) 10/10 would recommend.

I went to Rialto tonight (Saturday 5/12/18) for an early Mother’s Day dinner with my husband and son. We ordered our usual onion ring appetizer, chicken parmesean, fradiavlo & a cheese pizza with half pepperoni. We have eaten here many times in the past - always ordering the same thing. Tonight the onion rings were so so but we were hungry so we didn’t think anything of it. My son’s pizza came out first but it was a kid’s size pizza instead of regular size pizza that we ordered. Our waitress said she put the order in wrong. She apologized and took it off the bill and even gave us our correct order to go - no harm no foul. My son complained that the pizza was REALLY greasy and halfway through he found a hair. It wasn’t the waitress’ fault so we just rolled with it and even tipped her on the amount of the comped item and then some. However, my husband’s chicken parmesean was slightly burnt but he didn’t complain and just ate it. My fradiavlo also didn’t taste right....the sauce was different (maybe a new cook?) and there was WAY less pasta than usual and it was OVERLY garlicy (I love garlic but this was borderline offensive). Again, we were hungry so we ate and I took my leftover pasta with me. We had an hour drive home and approximately 15 minutes into the drive I had my husband pull the car over on the side of he road because I had to use the bathroom and there was no way I could wait. I got sick and as I’m sitting here writing this review my stomach is still upset. I’m soooooo disappointed because this used to be our favorite restaurant but this time I just feel robbed and sick (literally and figuratively). I definitely will NOT go back especially since the food left me on the side of the road - luckily we always travel with toilet paper in case of an emergency - this was most definitely an emergency!!! If anyone asks me what I got for Mother’s Day at least I can comically say ā€œI got the sh!+$ā€ If I could give this review 0 stars I would, but unfortunately the lowest I can give...

I was at your restaurant last night and was also one of this six that had such a horrible experience. The only reason we mentioned how long we had to wait was not because we cared about the wait because we were with great company and having wine slushies but instead to try to explain why we believe the waitress was not thrilled with a party of 6 being sat down so late in the evening (she was actually throwing our food on the table like she was mad - and threw dessert menus on the table before we even got our food and told us if we wanted dessert to order it now because the kitchen was closing and they would put it in the refrigerator if we wanted any) and why the food was so underwhelming and on 2 plates it was even unedible (it was hard to even tell it was chicken in the chic parm...it was so thin and hard and cheese was burnt). The way we were treated when trying to explain to you our experience is something I have never experienced before . But as I can see on other reviews anything that isn't exactly what you want to hear is met with a typical response. The one you gave us last night over and over..... "you are the only one tonight that has had this experience and as you can see by our other reviews most people do not feel this way." Well we completely understand, which is why we tried to explain over and over to you, it is definitely not our typical experience. We did not want ANYTHING for free, we just wanted the manager to know how we were treated and food was not up to par. What do you suppose our goal here was? To wait 2 hours to be sat and get food that we couldn't eat and have to send back and pay for it? Get your head out of the sand and when you have LOYAL customers that FREQUENT your establishment and try to explain to you this ONE time you received poor service and food was not great quality, don't call them liars.... just apologize and move on. Your response shows that you really do not care about your customers....you just want to be right...

Absolutely the best Italian food around. I've tried just about every dish on the menu, so I can honestly say that the chef has got the flavors nailed down just right. A few of my favorites are the Pollo Affumicato, where homemade Alfredo is simmered with tender chicken, bacon, asparagus, mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella, and served over a bed of penne. Tuscan Chicken is also absolutely amazing, and I can only describe it as the best of both worlds with the sauce. To me it taste like they take their marinara, and mix with their alfredo, and simmer it down with chicken, fresh spinach, and sweet peppers, and it's served on a bed of penne as well...HEAVENLY! On my last visit, I tried the Steak Gargonzola Gnocchi, and oh my goodness was it delicious! What goes better with steak than potatoes right? The potato dumpling pasta was served with a rich and creamy Alfredo base that had just a hint of blue cheese to it. The steak was cooked just right and served on top of the gnocchi, and it was amazing! The salad and bread that come with each dish is always fresh and delicious. Their desserts are to die for, with the homemade Tiramisu and Carrot Cake being my favorites there. Rialto is the place to visit if you're looking for fresh, authentic, amazing Italian food. After visiting this place, you will never want to visit a franchise...
