Ohoopee River Brewing Co — Restaurant in Vidalia

My sisters, a friend and I went there for the first time yesterday and when we arrived no one acknowledged us so we just sat down right inside the door. We waited for a bit and no one said anything so I got up and went to the bar and asked what we needed to do. The woman on duty said I can take your drink orders but we won't serve food till 4:30. I said fine and ordered our drinks and sat back down. I had no idea we were supposed to get back up I guess and get them ourselves. A server did deliver our drinks to us the first time but when we ordered another round we were on our own and had to pick up the drinks ourselves. I went back up and didn't think about the time but it was 26 minutes after 4:00. The woman again said it will be about 3 minutes so come back. I did. And ordered two pizzas. They sent us a text when they were ready and gave my friend and I the two pizzas so we took them back to the table. There were no plates, not even an offer of a plate. I went back up and got some plates. It was just an awkward situation. My flight of beers were pretty good and the pizza was not bad but we are a little reluctant about returning...

Vidalia has been waiting for a place like this, and the grand opening did not disappoint! This brewery is in the absolute perfect location in downtown Vidalia, and it’s clear that it’s going to become the new go-to spot. The atmosphere was fantastic—plenty of outdoor seating, live music setting the vibe, and a welcoming energy all around.

The beer selection was outstanding! We tried several flights, and every single one was top-notch. There’s truly something for everyone, from crisp, refreshing options to rich, bold flavors. On top of that, the food was just as impressive, with a great variety and something to satisfy every craving.

Between the amazing drinks, delicious food, and perfect ambiance, this brewery is a huge win for downtown Vidalia. We’ll definitely be back...

As a lifelong resident of Vidalia, I can honestly say that the addition of this brewery to our town has been one of the best things to ever happen to Vidalia! The beer is made in house by Brew Master Shane Harrelson and served by the absolute best crew. On the floor you have his wife Sandra, the young yet feisty Delta, and Vivian who is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. The food is ALWAYS made to perfection with a minimal wait. The food, the service, the atmosphere and of course the AMAZING selection of beer (at a very affordable price!) makes this the PERFECT place to both relax by yourself or bring a date for an evening out.
