Big Planet Comics — Local services in Vienna

BIG PLANET!!!!!! Off the chain!!! It's a shop that was recommend to me years ago but i just got around to going recently. I should have been going sooner. The new and recent comic issue selection is great! I seem to be able to get the issues that i want DAYS after they come out on Wednesday. And the back issue selection is awesome! I found some keys that I've been searching for for a long, long time. They even have a nice short novel book section that is cool for young adults and little kids. They only need more comic supplies like boards, bags and boxes in stock but that doesn't take away from my 5 stars. I am very grateful to have this as my local comic book shop. I am relatively new to the comic book world, and Big Planet Comics has introduced me to so many amazing artists and books. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, and can point you in the right direction as well as give recommendations. They can also special order you most comics if they don't have it in store. They have a great selection of zines from independent artists as well as all of the superhero fare, which has been great to peruse after a bit of a hero resurgence this summer with the films that have been released. Big Planet Comics is a chain, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you are looking for a comic shop that will complete your pull list properly and you can be in and out in 5 minutes or less, this is your spot. There is just not much else there; obviously there are currents, some back issues and TPBs, but there isn't much that can grasp the customer, just because of the size and nature of the store.
