McKenney Interiors — Local services in Vienna

I spoke with Len McKenney himself this morning after not having heard back from an email I sent his way. I have never experienced such poor and distasteful service from a business or a business owner. I called to inquire about the possibilities of having a seat cushion insert reupholstered for one of our high-end clients, as his company was recommended to us by one of our vendors. Len asked vague followup questions such as "Well why do you need it?" and then got frustrated with the answers I gave him and even began cursing. I explained that all the details were in the email I sent him and he replied confirming that he had seen the email but didn't "feel like" responding yet. After asking if he could call our client so as to walk her through the upholstery process, he said he could not since explaining it to me wasn't working for anyone. He finally said he didn't want the "damn job" and hung up.

Update in response to the owner's reply: I had given you the dimensions over the phone. You are correct in my misunderstanding of the basics of your reupholstery process, which is why I felt an explanation to my client from you, the expert, would be more helpful. Our client even called the same day, with the dimensions available, ready to pay for McKenney services, but she received the same customer service non-compliance from Len McKenney. Rude and unprofessional! Let me tell you my $1000 worth of business I was bringing to you was what was paying your bills and supporting your small business! Len McKinney did a fabulous job reupholstering a chair and ottoman for me. The chair required some detail work (double welts, nailhead trim, fabric match) and he got it all right -- the chair looks as good as new! Len was easy to deal with, the price was very reasonable, he did the job in one week, and the pickup and delivery were free because I live nearby.
