I'm so glad that I found Genna Jewelers. When I first started looking for a ring, like most guys, I was completely lost. I started my search at another jeweler in the area and found the sales staff to be pushy and unwilling to listen. This seemed to be the norm at most Jewelers. I then turned to the three big online diamond websites. They market cheaper prices and software that's supposed to be better than seeing your purchase with your own eyes. I did days of research and finally bought a ring from James Allen. However, when it arrived it was dark, dull and barely sparkled. Now it's obvious to me why online diamonds cost less. I went into Genna Jewelers the next day to get an appraisal on my dull diamond. I started talking to the owners Peter and Kateri and felt comfortable for the first time in the ring buying process. I skipped the appraisal, returned my online ring, and scheduled a time to look at some diamonds that Peter picked out. Every stone was amazing and they all sparkled under any type of light. I picked my favorite and was excited to learn that it actually cost less than the dark diamond that I bought online. Plus, I was dealing with some of the most honest and helpful people in the industry. My fiance loves her ring. She brings it in routinely for free cleanings and prong tightening and is always greeted with the same kindness that I experienced. I usually don't write reviews for anything, good or bad. I wrote this because I feel like my story could help someone who is as naive as I was. If anyone is out there staring their engagement ring search, don't bother with other Jewelers who just want to sell you any ring they can. Pros: Fast Service, options for expedited repairs, decent selection of jewelry, Decent repairs when done correctly Cons: Mistake Prone. Probably better options in the area out there 🤷‍♂️

I personally had a poor experience with them and wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.

I brought in an 18k necklace that needed to be repaired w an 18k clasp alongside with some silver rings that needed to be resized and repaired. They replaced the clasp of my necklace with the wrong karat of gold (14k) and I didn't notice until I picked it up and was ready to drive off with it.

I went in and asked the associate about the wrong clasp and the sale associate said that, since I actually got a discount on my order, (the guy who took my order gave me one due to the size/expedited process I'm guessing) that if I wanted the right clasp then I was to pay the original price for it. I wish I was joking.

The same associate also told me that the only way I could receive my jewelry back is if I was "OK" with it, otherwise they'd keep it to "fix" (another employee tried to intervene by saying that they could fix it if I kept it there another week) . Unfortunately, since I had a flight to catch and the jewelry repair was a time sensitive matter (which is why I paid extra for it to be expedited 🤦) , I didn't have time to stand around and argue with whatever nonsense they were spouting so I left with it in tow and vengeance in my heart.

If you do choose this business, make sure to carefully check over their work. I don't think that this was done purposely because on my order sheet there was no written carat specification (which the disgruntled repair person pointed out) and the repair person probably thought it was for a 14k clasp based on the "discount". Working with the amazing people at Genna Jewelers was the best experience I’ve ever had as a customer, anywhere. My wife had a vision for her dream ring, and they brought it to life. It was just an idea, but they sat with us for as long as it took (on multiple visits) to get every detail of that idea out, and they customized every aspect of it. We were amazed at the way they were able to take something small we said we wanted and understand what we meant, and apply their expertise to guide us through it. They brought their own ideas to the table that we loved too, it was exciting, they never rushed us or made us feel like they just wanted us to settle or wrap it up, on the contrary, they got creative with us and we felt like we designed a ring together with them. They made it the most enjoyable experience, and when we saw the ring for the first time we were blown away at how they were able to take an idea and create something so much better than we could have even envisioned. Genna’s is the only jeweler that we will be going to from now on, and we will be recommending them to everyone we can. Not only is their custom work amazing, but they have the best in-store selection as well, and the people in the store are the nicest, most helpful, most knowledgeable people I’ve come across.
