My experience was embarrassing, insulting, time consuming, costly and completely unnecessary. My husband had a total knee replacement with complications. He was prescribed pain medication by his orthopedic surgeon whom directly called his prescription to the Publix Pharmacy in Villa Rica. In the past he has used Publix and always had a good experience. The medication was ordered late on Friday and I went to pick it up on Saturday afternoon. I am not sure of the pharmacist name but she was rude with a nasty attitude refusing to fill it. She stated it looked suspicious that his surgeon was in Lawrenceville and we wanted it filled there instead. We live on the Alabama/Georgia state line and the closest Publix Pharmacy to our home is in Villa Rica which is two hours closer to us than the Publix in Lawrenceville. Walmart in Bremen is the only one closer that carries this medication but they wouldn’t take goodrx so for economical reasons we chose to drive to Villa Rica. Now keep in mind that his medications are all prescribed by the same physician, there is no prior history of receiving pain meds prior to his surgery and his physicians office specifically ordered it to that pharmacy. She continued to be rude making loud comments alluding that I may be committing criminal activity. Now this is a Saturday afternoon and the physicians office is closed until Monday. I explained to her how they were our closest Publix pharmacy, the geographical location of our home, his medical history but she continued treating me as if I was in the commission of a crime informing me this was her pharmacy and she chose what prescriptions were filled there. When I left I told my husband what happened and he called the Publix Pharmacy in Douglasville explaining the situation to the pharmacist there. He was extremely helpful and had it transferred to his location and filled with no issues. I will never step foot in the Villa Rica...
Read moreThey do NOT care about the people that use them at all! My son needs his two prescriptions that were sent in. I called before going up there and they said they received both and will have them filled in an hour. When I go up there they said they are waiting on a pre auth for one of the prescriptions for insurance to cover it. I asked how much it would be and they gave me the price. I told them I would just pay for it because my son desperately needs the meds. Then the manager says sorry it’s out of stock! I have never had to deal with such ignorance! Why would you be trying to get a pre auth for meds you don’t even have and why was I told it would be ready! Why wasn’t I told they were out of stock when I called! Also they told me they would send it to another Publix location for it to be filled. I called the other location and they gave me a price which was more than double what Mirror Lake quoted me. When I asked why she said it was because Mirror Lake was breaking up the prescription that my son’s doctor sent in. Yet again none of this was relayed to me. Jennifer, the manager at this location, straight lied to my face and when I asked for someone else I could make a formal complaint with all she said was “I’m the manager”. Your the issue! This...
Read moreI say these reviews after already transferring my prescription and listen to them and do not use this pharmacy. I normally use cvs and decided to try this pharmacy because it’s beside my home. I have been on the same controlled medication for 6 years and I pick it up on the same day each month which is the 4th Monday…2 days prior to the fill day. This is done because you don’t know what issues you will have the day of (like pharmacy being out of stock etc) so this dumb pharmacist gone tell me if I got the medication on the 18th then I have to pick it up on the 18th a dam lie! That’s called them trying to profile thinking they know me. I don’t abuse my medication bully I like a routine. My insurance approved my medication because I called them and they said they had never heard of a pharmacy saying to wait the day of! They did this to be controlling! So I transferred my medication right back to where I normally get it! Listen to the reviews
Update so I went to cvs and they filled my prescription the same day so now I know that I was profiled and discriminated against so I’m going to contact a lawyer and ask if I have a case because if they filled anyone else prescription sooner than the same day they filled that’s profiling and...
